Recently, I pulled up the cup holder in my console (bucket seats/manual trans) and found an electrical connector with nothing hooked up to it; it just dead-ends. There are not other harnesses in sight under there.

One of the pins is hot whenever the ignition is ON, so I'm using it to hard-wire in my cell phone charger. I just have to wonder what the heck this is for; hopefully it's just for some option my truck doesn't have.

    Any thoughts?

no clue, do you happen to have a picture? Maybe it is a harness related to an automatic transmission?
