    I think the guy bought the truck thought he could make the payments let a friend “borrow” so that he could use the gap insurance to walk away from it. My POS brother did this back when he bought a brand new Chevy and then lost his job two days later. He was then at a buddies house and a “friend” of a “friend” needed to take his mom to the hospital. The truck was found 2 days later stripped on blocks in the middle of Azusa canyon California. The dinged his credit and my moms credit and the gap insurance covered it.
