I posted this on a different thread too. There's 3 or 4 of them on youtube. Search "criminals for gun control".
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngsKzdKNAmo

I took my CCW class a couple months ago and the instructor was asked what firearm did we prefer to use for home defense. I, and many others, said shotgun. He said he used to like the shotty but now 100% prefers his AR15. He said he loads it with some hollow point 55 grain rounds so he doesn't have to worry about it going thru a wall and accidentally killing his neighbor. I've been looking for some to test it out but no luck. I like the theory behind it though.

    I love it!

This is awesome. I'm gonna send it to my mom. She frowns on me having so many firearms and just doesn't understand. Doctors have done her really wrong  recently and this may finally allow her to see a different point of view.

So if my wife is a surgeon and I own an AR, I'm assuming that together we are considered a threat to national security:D

We have concrete walls between my neigbor and us. I keep M855 ammo in the AR, and my Wife and I have practiced emergency precedures in our house. I go out first, and she stays with the dog in the room, with a loaded AR. I tell her, if there is ever a problem and I dont come back into the room, fire thru the walls.

Here's the link to that company. I can't vouch for them but they came highly reccomended from the gun dealer I went through. He said they will take your credit card number but wont charge you until they ship your order. He did say there is a 5 week wait for .223 ammo if you order a case. Let me know how the service is if you go through them.

Hey, here's a question for you guys. Do you know what kind of machine makes the casings? At first I thought they were extruded but some casings look way too precise, almost machined looking. I've searched the internet in the past but haven't found much info on it.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
they start in the evenings here. usually have stuff out on the floor at about 10 pm. haven't had much problem with .22 here...they usually have mini mags. not much in the way of bricks though. there were some Winchester 333rd boxes there last week, but i skipped them....price too high. i've been waiting for WWB .40 S&W for a while now. i was stalking their sporting goods department for a while there...lol. i've been having a hard time with .22 WMR. WW always has CCI 40 grain TMJ's, but no other varieties. even the big gun store a couple towns over only had winchester supreme @$15.00/box. i remeber just a couple years ago, i was buying .22 mag premuim ammo for $7-8 a box...now it's $12-$14 box...frick!

I don't, but I suspect stamped with some light maching or edges. Machining would seem to me to be much too expensive and time consuming.

Agreed. And the caliber is obviously stamped in the end. I talked to a gun store owner here who said that ammunition companies have not and are not planning on ramping up production despite the obvious shortage and demand.

They really don't need to.....production line utilizations are running flat out and I am sure they are getting price increases. I bought 1000 rounds of Isrealis .223 reloads (I think 56 gram, milspec) about 15 years ago for $140, been hermetically sealed since then.

Is that where it's sealed with both male and female genitalia?

Really, I had to look this word up. :D $140 for 1000. Wow. I wish I had been stock piling since I was a teen.
