    Too many to list
You got a screaming deal. And 600 to repair it is nothing. You'LL drop more on tires..now it's time to just enjoy it.and if you ever sell it, list it out here in California and you'LLC double your money easy

You waited--and patience paid off for you--
    Enjoy, my man!

A couple of suggestions, if I might..being older than you, most likely--and having had my share
    of rides..
    1. That Color is harder to keep clean/shiny--put some GOOD wax on it, to start with--and keep at it!
    2. I'd get a bug shield, to protect that front area of hood--you'll see..
    3. Get undercoated NOW--small investment--will pay off big $$'s down the road. Scrape and 'touch=up any rust you can find NOW underneath or body wise--and keep that in mind-

These are just a few little things an old detailing guy insisted on when I worked with him years ago..
.You can also-clean your windows with just a solution of vinegar/water or ammonia/water, and old newspaper--no streak.
    Enjoy the ride!

gorgeous, looks new still. I wouldn't worry about too few miles per year, 27,000 in five years seems like plenty of casual around town use and not like it just sat

I told my dad that I was going to go see if somebody would clear coat it for me, as I want the paint to look this good in ten years. His advice was the same as yours. He said to go to whatever auto store or paint place I like and ask for their best wax and I can borrow his buffer. About the undercoating - is that a dealership thing or should I just search around here for how to do it myself?

Some things I would address if not already done just due to its age.

Replace front lbjs with oem only. Cheap easy install. These are known to fail with age and mileage. If it fails tire can come off causing major damage.

Replace radiator. The trans cooler can fail mixing radiator fluid into trans destroying it. You can also bypass the stick cooler to eliminate the "pink milkshake"

But again you may be fine due to mileage but i would still do this stuff just in case. Very nice truck. You will love it.

Definitely want to get that under carriage coated. Currently de rusting mine(got it with 73,000 miles, purchased about 3 months ago, and found a good portion with surface rust), not sure where you're at, but still good to get done. It's pretty simple to do. Nice buy!! wish there were a lot of double cabs like that out there!!!!

What does lbjs stand for--Lower ball joints--if I'm correct? Why not go with-say MOOG brand--if they come w/ zerk/grease fittings??
    Tks for any help here-

Yes lower ball joints. The oems last 100+k miles. Are $80 each. Moogs in the 4runner forum have been proven to fail around 20k miles. People have torn them down to find major scaring in the ball joint cap and causes them to prematurely loosen up.

The reason toyota has it's reputation is because they make high quality reliable parts. You start replacing them with non oem parts it will lose that reliability.

I'm usually an advocate for undercoating, but that truck doesn't need messy oil based undercoating. It's an '04 and looks like new underneath. I'm guessing you live in a dry southern climate? POR15 any rust on the frame (special paint-black) and enjoy it.

That was my initial thought. I'm in AZ, and the truck has spent its entire life in AZ and CA. It has no visible rust now, and I can't imagine it developing any.

Congrats. Thats a great looking truck. Low miles too to boot!

Anyway, I just wanted to ask. I recently got a tire replaced on my 3rd gen because i had a piece of metal pierce my tires. I didnt have time to change it as I was on my way to work. Had the wife call AAA and then she took it in to Discount tires. Next day, all is great. I checked everything before heading out to work. Spare was on nice and tight. When I was on my way home, i started to hear lots of squeaking. Pulled over and found my spare tire moving around. Took out my jack tools to tighten it up. Read the instructions on the bag and it said "install with valve stem facing up". I flipped the tire over and reinstalled. Haven't had a problem since then. Not sure if this applies to all gens, but i noticed your spare in the photo is facing the wrong way? Does this matter guys?
