And most thieves can't drive a stick so they might not even target you.

What's an H key? I still have an actual just key key. Like no clicker just a metal key with an RFID chip.

The Club? Do people still use these things? I bought one back in the early 90's when I lived in CA, but haven't seen one in years. Once word got out you can cut through the steering wheel with a hacksaw in 10 seconds, they kind of dropped off the market. I agree it is another speed bump, but would not stop a determined individual.

Any thief who is determined enough and experienced enough is going to get your shit. The trick is to put enough deterrents in front of them to make your shit harder to get than the next guy's so they move on to an easier target.

It's a keyless entry fob with the key all in one. Has an "H" stamped on the key portion.

Hate to break it to you guys, but a keyed car will get stolen just as fast a one with a smart fob...It's not like car theft just became a thing with the advent of a fob.

    That's a nifty idea.

I have the Toyota App that reminds you to lock your doors and can remote start the truck. From what was said, this can be disabled by thieves so the airtag would be a good idea.

Sure, but it’s still easier to steal a taco
    with the smart key.

Im no expert, but how a Tacoma with an immobilizer and a regular key can get stolen?

These car thief rings aren't deterred by much, they can pull up with a tow truck and drive away in less than a minute with your vehicle. The alarm can be blasting, horn honking, lights flashing and people just think it's an annoyance and look the other way. That GPS tracker you installed... worthless because they come prepared with a jammer. And if you did get an alert the truck moved 10 feet, that means it's already gone. If they want it, they will take it. Even locked in your garage... if they want it bad enough, it's gone. Sad but it's the truth...

I guess I’m gonna start using a heavy duty chain and chaining my truck when I park it…
