So I ran over something in the dark on my way to work Monday morning and my rear tire was flat in about 30 seconds. Luck for me I was able to get to a safe place to change to the spare. But all week I was like WTF could I run over on a city street at 30mph that would slice the tread back and rip through the Kevlar layer of the middle of the tread about 2 inches wide. Not the sidewall but the center of the tread. Today I replaced the tire and inside was a freaking brake pad. The whole pad with most of the brake surface missing. Like 8'' long. WTF. Its not even sharp. What's the weirdest thing you've ran over and found in your tire?

I worked in a tire shop years ago. Keys were common. Crescent wrench, screw drivers. There were even things that couldn't be identified.

I had to dig it out with a pair of needle nose pliers.

I don't have a actual pic, but when I was younger I ran over a hay bale hook without the handle. Imagine a giant fish hook with about the thickness of a crowbar. It stuck into my tire and proceeded to spin around and rip my fender apart at about 55 mph. It was very loud and very violent.

My grandmother was driving along in her Escalade following a dodge pickup truck on the highway when she watched the "O" in dodge fall off of the tailgate and bounce off the road. It must have been perfectly vertical when she hit it and took out her tire. She said it was like slow motion watching it bounce off the road but she just couldn't avoid it.

I found a razor blade perfectly sliced into a tread block.

4" diameter engine valve broke off about 5" long. Driving on a gravel road out in the country.

I hit the gas tube from a zippo lighter. Deflated my tire like a spike strip....
