I found a plug behind my grille on my 2022 tacoma that is not connected to anything. Does anyone know what it is for?

Do you have an SR? Looks like the fog light connector.

    Oh look, another mod....

It could be for a few things: The TSS sensor. The front facing camera. The fog lights.

You probably have a lower trim level, so you don't have these options, thus...the random cable just hanging there.

Fog light wiring. it's where you plug the harness that goes to the lights for a pre-wired installation.

Depends on your trim level… lower optioned trucks use the same harnesses in some places with out the hardware attached (sensors, cameras, Etc)…

Same I have the trail edition and just noticed the same connector. My truck didn’t come with fog lights so I’m assuming that that’s what it is

I have a 2023 trail and have the BD Squadron Sport fogs and wiring harness. Trying to figure out the best way to install. The "pre-wired" makes it sound easy. Is it as simple as plugging in the harness/fogs to this existing harness and the fogs will just be on with the headlights? There's no pre-wired switch in the cab, would have to run one in.
