There’s a buyer out there for practically anything. But, that guy has to find someone wanting that truck (access cab, manual, no premium options) AND want those same mods AND is willing to pay for it. I would imagine the pool of potential buyers to be fairly small.

I think that’s what the argument comes down to. Most buyers aren’t looking for modded vehicles and aren’t going to pay more for them, regardless of how tastefully done. So for the majority of buyers, it adds no value. But that doesn’t mean it won’t sell. I’m sure someone would eventually buy it, it just might take some time.

Of course, I see people clamoring to buy squatted 03-04 Silverados with massive wheels and rubber band tires, so who knows? lol

I totally agree with what you’ve said. All I’m saying though is there is still a market there and it’s what most sellers are in understanding of. And subtracting money for the value of mods added is to the one extreme end of the buyer spectrum. Like you said, most will tend toward mods not adding value, or barely any. I have seen sellers essentially add msrp of parts into their price and those are the vehicles that sit for months on end.

I’m not saying mods should be super additive to the price, I’m just saying subtracting 5k off a trucks asking if you tallied up that it has 5k in mods is ridiculous and the opposite extreme to paying full msrp for added mods or something.

Anyone listing a modded out vehicle should be of the understanding they are narrowing their market. That is for sure. Anyone looking to make a quick sale or appeal to the masses should be removing everything aftermarket and selling separate.

If the guy just wanted a gawd ugly truck with "luxury amenities" , he should have just bought a Ridgeline and saved $26k.

The guys who have the money and are interested will be looking for the mods THEY want. I'd pay a bit more for a decent high quality winch and a good install, pay [far] less for some shoddy spacer lift and troublesome suspension along with some cheap chinese ''bling'' plastered on it.

I like that its a Manual and the lockers in is great.

But first, I'm really having a hard time trying to figure out why it looks so off. I can get over the rims, that's an easy fix. The rest of it is throwing me off.
second, having a hard time believing someone opened those diffs and did not re gear while the lockers were being installed.

    Nothing major yet.
    No.
    1- that’s maybe 10k in mods
    2. Look under the hood at the rats nest of wires. I assume that continues throughout the truck, and will cause longer term issues.
    3. This truck is $35,000 (with minimal extra options) new at best

    LOL!

Just because some sucker overpaid for his truck, doesn't mean that I'm going to reward him and bail him out by doing the same.
