When I was shopping for a Tacoma. I took into serious consideration a 4 cylinder TRD Sport in Micah. So they do make a 4 banger with TRD decals. I ended up getting a 4 banger SR5 and it has 6 lug rims. I threw some custom decals on it.

For anybody interested in pushing the limits of their 4-cyl, probably best to limit this behavior to prerunner/4x4, which have **bigger brakes** (and tires) than 5-lug.

Not towing, but I hauled 12 5 gal. buckets of hydraulic oil, 20 12 quart cases of oil, 2 pallets, and 10 50 lb bags of seed on my little 5 lug taco with a full tank of gas.

The best I ever did was hauling gravel home from the pit. The receipt said 0.72 tons. I was surprised the bed held it being composite and all. I kept it under 50 though, because the steering was a little sketchy, and did have bump stop marks. Pulled it great, just need more spring. :smack:

Not a whole lot, just bulky scrap. 6240 on the scale total. 4600 empty with trailer. Not sure what the trailer weighs. The 4cyl/autos really aren't too bad at pulling if you leave it in 3rd instead of drive.

Some times I pull stuff but not often I've got purpose built trucks for that but there's been a couple times when they were both in for service. The 4cyl handled this 14ft tandem enclosed. it was emptied of half the equipment inside. Although my 121k mile clutch didn't like it much
