    They are basic trails but I got caught up on a ledge with the front tires fully locked passenger. Hit it just right to break it.

    I have a spare with me and all the tools I need to swap it out.

    Not the end of the world. Just inconvenient. :(

    Here’s a few pics of the cooked u-joint and the repair. I believe the cause was a missing zerk.

    No pictures however I got the driveshaft U joint finally installed and put the driveshaft back on the truck. I took it for test drive and everything seems to be completely fine now. I did have a heckuva time with the u joint because the first time I pressed it together one of the needle bearings came dislodged and would not allow me to seat the U joint completely in the yoke.

    It’s never simple. :oops:

    My father in law recommended a trick: get some extra grease into the cups that hold the needle bearings to keep them in place when assembling the new u joint.
    I did this a second time without issue.

    Got a question... where did you source the HDPE sheeting for your cap spacers?

    Installed KB rails on the RC and now I need to make up that missing 3/4 for the cap to sit right :facepalm:

    Found a few online retailers but holy $$$... I'll use 3/4 treated plywood before that lol

    Got the pieces fro Fazzios over in NJ on a trip there with Ant. Same day we bought the additional tubing for the sliders. I think it was like $60 for the HDPE?
