FOUR WHEEL CAMPER (FWC) THREAD!!

for replacement. Low profile and sealed but I’m sure it would need a adapter bracket. Just checking if anyone has been there done that. Trying to avoid leak holes in the field. I hope you used ample yukum putty on your led light boxes, water always seems to find a way in.

 

Wanted to post a few photos of my cleaned up diesel heater install.

 

Not 100% complete but good enough for our upcoming trip. This was an emergency fab job using only scrap pieces rolling around the shop after realizing on Saturday night that we were not equipped to carry maxtrax with us on our trip. And everyone knows it isn’t an overlanding trip without maxtrax on the exterior of your rig!

Awesome pics! you're really putting it to the test I love it. Do you find the truck to feel tippy offroading? I haven't taken mine on anything more than just fire roads so far, but wanting to venture out more. Looks like you're finding some great spots!

 

we ended up going on some pretty hard trails due to washouts (pics to come later) and while a fully loaded rig is nothing like what I'm used to wheeling, it is manageable, I particularly found the left/right leveling capability I have via the independent air spring control with the airlift wirelessair system very useful for shifting weight and managing camper to wall clearances on deep washout/erosion pockets and anywhere severely off camber.
Of course comfort level is going to be different per person but I was able to get pretty comfortable with the setup. Obviously performance is definitely lower than without the camper though. Just need to set expectations

 

nice! I have independent air as well. But manually add air. I like the idea of that wireless setup for controlling during off-roading that's a good idea! Which air command kit are you running?

it's called wireless air by airlift, i just got rid of the original compressor and have it tied into my air tank which is kept pressurized by the arb dual compressor also used for my lockers. been super easy to use!

honestly we were planning on trying a bunch of baking with our new coleman camp oven but i forgot to pack the propane hose for our camp stove hence we had to use an open fire and our cast pie irons for all hot cooking. luckily it didn't disappoint!

but as for that specific dessert, (i had to ask the wife for specifics, but I can tell you it was delicious)

Philadelphia’s no-bake Cheesecake filling B-happy Peanut butter snack mix - peanut butter, coconut, dark chocolate, almond flavor
