little bit of a random on here.. I have a Fleet and picked up a new thermal pack (single layer) last year for it. FWC just recently released the 3 layer quilted Thermal pack that would be better suited for where we camp in the winter.

Anyone with a Fleet looking for a thermal pack? lol

Is that an entire thermal pack replacement or just for the lower windows?

Its the two sides for the entire tent portion. the single layer kits didnt come with window covers, made ours out of refelctix.

Gotchya. I made window covers out of the reflectix as well. Every little bit helps.

Any of you folks do brake upgrades to help with the extra weight? I'm looking into it now. PowerBrakes are spendy, but probably great. What have you guys done?

One of the cheapest upgrades we did was to replace the front brake pads with the OEM TRD semi-metallic pads. Just make sure you follow the break-in procedure. There about $100

I went with the Hawk LTS pads up front, definitely a difference in initial bite.
not too many rigs heavier than ours, and it handled all the Colorado mountain roads no problem, but I do drive slow and with plenty of engine braking to be conservative.

I totally agree with @Blueberry.Taco. The OEM TRD pads also provided better initial breaking. Also for us, the OEM rotors started to warp on CO mountain roads. Putting on Power Stop rotors stopped that. Since then, our our camper has been on our truck full-time with no problems in over 100,000 miles of tough international travel. Finally, we installed braided front brake lines which also provided a little more firm pedal feel.

When I had the Eagle on my Tacoma I installed the braided brake lines and it helped.

this is for 2nd gens but I believe in that thread there is a link to a similar set up for 3rd gens. It’s decent sized job but made a huge difference. Wish I would have done it 150k miles ago lol

Hey y'all I'm getting an older eagle model that weighs in at 650lbs. I already have icon rxt leaf pack on setting 2 with some ads shocks in the rear.
I'll probably go up to setting 3 on the leafs.
But I would rather go bumpstop over airbags.
    So with that being said.
Would you do archive stage 3 with the yellow bump stops.
    Or timbrens
    Or durobumps?
    Thanks for the help

My rear suspension set up is Deaver Stage III leaf pack, icon hydro bumps, icon stage III rear shocks, and air bags. The deavers hold up very nice, airbags are just extra support to keep the truck level. Ride is stiff without the camper, and smooth with the camper. Take the 650 and add another 100-200 pounds for all your gear depending on what you pack. Add in awnings, fuel packs, etc. Weight adds up quick.

Can confirm the MULE awning mounts work on applications other than 4Wheel Campers.
