Oh well. Maybe I’m the only one who thinks @Jemm63 comment to OP was kind of a jab. I just don’t like seeing that. It’s annoying. But carry on!

It was a jab at Toyota, don’t see why you have issue with it? Maybe because you bought a 4G and are feeling guilty about your purchase? I don’t know? You have stated several times that you regret your purchase.

Yikes … that’s just nasty. Not sure why you are obsessed with poking at me. But I’ve learned my lesson. Best we don’t interact. Cheers mate.

Wasn’t meant to be nasty. Just saying back what you already stated. You said you regretted buying an 4G Trail Hunter and miss your 3G Pro. Unsure why you think that is nasty???

‘21 Access Cab. Was going going to buy a new one, and give it to my niece since she needs a new vehicle. Seeing too many red flags with the 4G. That and they killed the AC. Was hot to buy one, now I am not. A lot of things I will put up with because “Toyota”. Unwilling to do that anymore.

Decided to keep the ‘21 and just give my niece cash so she can buy whatever she wants.

Yeah actually, have to keep up on the failures so I can make a decision. The new TSB on the trans pretty much was the final nail in the coffin. Saw that one coming while many denied it.

Once trust is lost, it is quite hard to regain it. It is going to take years for Toyota to work the bugs out. Good lesson of never buy the first couple years of a complete platform change.

After much hemming and hawing, decided today not to purchase a 4G. Probably should turn my alert preferences off, since any time someone quotes me or there are new posts in the thread I tend want to chime in.

Yeah, it seems a little early to make that proclamation. Lets see how those turbos are holding out as the trucks turn 150K on the odometer. I could see the hybrids having better longevity though.

Sorry My comment on the best truck, upset you. My point was that the OP said it was the best truck but only owned for a few months with a major repair. It usually takes years and a lot of miles to proclaim that a vehicle is the best truck ever at least a 100K. If this was his best, I would hate to see his worst vehicle. Mine is 10 years old and still not proclaiming my best vehicle as it does not have a lot of miles. My 80's Dodge with a 318 and over 12 years old had over 300K with zero major repairs when the body rusted thru. That I can proclaim was a best truck. I realize you have the same Gen 4 truck and want to defend your purchase but other people can have an opinion which can differ from yours without being confrontational. I thought this was a democracy
