Finally got the fronts installed! Stock rear leafs and shocks. I turned down the passenger side 3 turns.

I measured from the ground to the bottom of the fender arch. It was like 36 1/4 up front and 36 3/4 in the back.

    Had a little help!

    2E53CA33-6156-4D5F-BDFA-9A75DA3039EE.jpg

I purchased the 117 rear struts. I really want to use them. But im not ready to buy rear leafs.. am I going to have issues with the extended travel they have?? Should I get a set of the super bumpstops when I order the guard from wheelers to prevent bottoming out the strut? Also what bracket are you guys using to frame mount?

    Thanks all!

Yes on the turns. The 3rd gens still have the driver's lean bc all Toyota did was put the 3.5 in the 2nd gen frame. You may have to do some fender trimming like I did with the wife's setup.

They should be awesome, I talked to them at length researching suspension. If they don't get it done right PM me and I'll make a call. I don't tolerate crappiness... Especially when I put in hours of work to review a product. Sorry for your "blowout," that is super rare.

How much extended travel do you have? Wheeler's sells spacers for their super bumps, soooo you could measure and order accordingly. Do you jump your rig like I do?? Lol

This is Mully and a pic just before I sold my setup.
Mind you, this is with 40K miles on them also.
I take extremely good care of my stuff.
The FOX 2.0 is an excellent coilover for the money.
    Running Kings now.

I ran an inverted piggyback resi.
Got a smoking deal on them, they were new, returned item, never used, so they gave me a 50% discount. Couldn't pass it up. Besides, I wasn't crawling over rocks, so they worked great.

Did you measure before the stock swap up front ... If so what was the difference? I’m looking to get about 2” lift from stock and trying to calculate the amount of turns respectively to achieve this.

They come at 2" bud, it'll be close to that if you turn the driver's side up 3 turns. Should put you dead level all the way around with factory rear springs. Basically, it'll look like my wife's silver Taco.

So sick bro, jump it!!!! I want pics of that craziness in the air! You clearly don't have two sets of student loans. Meet a woman in school and marry her while becoming doctors=owing a ton of $$$$... That and although I did the vast majority of work on our paid-off trucks, I may have spent a bit on parts . You get that intake?? Silver girl straight growls at you when ya get on it.

Finally emailed me back today, stating I need to ship the shock in for service before they can determine if it’s covered under warranty.

Does that seem normal? Trying to figure out how to make that work considering the trucks my DD. wonder if the stock shock will work?

Wow. thats annoying. I had an old Bilstein that leaked and Downsouth sent me a new one w/ no questions asked. I had to send them the old one back, but the truck wasnt down. Hope it's a quick turnaround time. But really sucks that you have to eat s/h costs among everything else to hopefully have them cover it under warranty.
With such low mileage on it, if they don't cover it under warranty, I'd be looking to put another brand on the truck.

Yeah I’m thinking I’ll give them a call tomorrow and verify everything. A bit frustrating I have to eat the shipping cost without even knowing if they’ll warranty them.

I've had issues in the past with Fox warranties for my bike forks... obviously a bit different, but it was still a ~$600 part that they refused to warranty. I wish you the best with this but Fox isn't always great with warranty claims from my experience.

Call them and straight B at them, but in a nice way. As previously stated, I abuse mine and no issues at all. You got a defective part bruh. And the factory should suffice for now. Factory shocks have a bushing at the bottom to stop full droop pressure on the housing.

Dont all shocks have some method to prevent damage at full extension though? Which is why droop can be shock limited? Also wouldn't be able to jack up the truck then either lol

Two different companies owned by brothers, just saying. But again, have had my Specialized Eduro bike for a decade with no problems and Fox all around with 180mm of travel.
Mully, don't give me crap on the status of the garage... Been working and it's in disarray... Sigh
