That's ok, check out mine. Was working on some of the toys this day. It gets like this when you modding stuff. Take care Brother.

    Yes and no.

Correct in that Fox Factory and Fox Racing are the two different companies with very different product focuses. Incorrect in that all the suspension products belong to the same company, Fox Factory. The bike line and auto/truck line are just different divisions within the same company.

Apologies for the temporary thread derail.

You want to have full droop for wheeling; otherwise, it isn't an issue bc of what you said (repeated full droops will kill them eventually). Main thing with the Fox setup is their secret valving. King does something similar which is why in all his wisdom Mully (he better jump that S!!) went with Kings. It's the ride man, second to none. Soooo cushy, yet handles like a sports car... Ok kinda ... It's a truck dangit... I still blasted one of those new Scion/Subaru pos's. Used to do track days with my old Acura I traded for my Tacoma. All motor nastiness. Had an offer to drive professional. I know my suspension. Just saying. Lol

All good. That's just what the company said. They're brothers n stuff, you're cool. Fox is FOX in my opinion, love them... Dude on the phone just corrected me is all. And never said that their stuff was from the same company or line... not really sure where you were going with that bro. Feel like we said the same thing on that point.
Used to do downhill until I sent a stump jumper down a mountainside... Pretty sure nothing made it out alive except me bc I totally bailed... Like getting hit by a mountain lion mid ride. Hahaha did I just curb my own thread? Lol

Just cause Mully has cooler suspension than all of us. I digress. Back to talking about Tacos!

Your exact words were "two different companies" in reference to Fox bike suspension and Fox truck suspension. I'm simply clarifying that they are indeed the same company, but different divisions within that company.
    Fox Factory = Suspension
    Fox Racing = Clothing/Apparel

Just to clarify the meaning of “turn” are we talking about counting the threads exposed below the coil adjustment, or are we saying marking a position on the coil adjustment and turning it up one full turn?

Once you compress the coil you turn the collar towards the spring to go in lift or away from the spring to go down in lift.

Thanks for that, but not quite what I was after. What I’m trying to understand is when we define a turn, are we counting the amount of additional threads we are adding when cranking towards the spring, or the physical collar rotations position (aka making a mark on the collar and turning one full 360 rotation towards the spring).

Just as I described at the initial post of this thread, lol... No worries... and just like you said at the end. Mark factory setting on the body and count how many times you pass it.

50D58054-FA75-4BBC-AAED-1A0D90C05F7C.jpg Installing these right now. Anyone wanna chime in on what these washers are for on the rear shocks? Got the right bushing in for the Tacoma which was a PITA but can’t figure what this rubber washer is for.

Fox includes extra hardware for diff possible setups. They're likely shock mount bushings. If everything looks like the pics on here and there's no metal touching metal, you should be good lol.

Thanks for the reply I was thinking there couldn't possibly be a use for these in the tacoma application but as things sometimes go, I would have found out that they are a vital component - RIGHT AFTER the install was finished.
However, I figured as much and went ahead and finished the install. Man, I wish I never even went with the Bilstein 5100's to begin with. I like these Fox's so much more. Night and day. Lot of good info in this thread - made the install a breeze.

For anyone's info, for lift I went with 9.5 turns on the driver side and 6.5 on the passenger side. The front is just barely less than 1/4" lower than the rear.
(I have medium duty Dakar leafs)

Update: wife’s billy setup (5100’s on Eibach coils, recall leaves, driver’s lean spacer, and super bumps) has to be broken in by now and is tolerable; however, my setup hands down has the best ride. Have said it before and saying it again, Fox valving is simply amazing. Tight in turns, but super cushy otherwise. Her 5100’s are more like being in a track car. Corners like it’s on rails (as does my Fox setup, but mine is just far more forgiving and less jarring). I will note, she has slightly more lift in front (to fit the 285’s) so a higher angle on the LCA’s so it should feel more stiff and the recall leaves are super beefy so they should feel stiffer. When I say “more cushy,” I’m referring to the rebound and compression dampening when hitting a bump etc. Again, her Tacoma is the road truck and is almost as clean as Mully’s underneath so it works out well bc it doesn’t see dirt roads or even Georgia red clay.

    Mully, how are the Kings?

Kings are awesome, went to Pismo Beach and bombed the truck through the big dunes all the way in the back. Got up to 80+ mph in some areas. Was an absolute blast.
