It's all explained in the OP and previous posts. Bottom line is you still have to measure and customize it to work with your setup.

Also interested in best way to drill hole for bumps in strike pad. Kinda was scratching my head. Cant really see how to do it from bottom unless you had like a right angle drill and a sharp bit or really flexed or removed leafs. Or from top at an angle?

From the bottom. Regular Makita drill here. Just removed tire, droop out leaf pack and get after it. A good drill bit and a strong arm help. And some drilling oil

I want to run this setup on my 17 tacoma. I have extended fox 2.5s and Dakar heavy leafs. I'm thinking of fabricating my own plates for the flipped ubolts. All pro don't have the ubolts in stock, and i want to get the 5/8ths ones. Any other sources? Another question, can't these bump stops be mounted to the plate on springs?

Sure, if you cut off the bolt and weld them on the plate it should work. They are wayyy softer than stock tho and I highly recommend you cycle your setup and measure where you need your bump stop to bottom out

When using these do you want the bump to start to compress at 1/2 shaft showing? I would think the bump would compress more than 1/2in and bottom the shock out. This is probably simple but I’ve never set up bump stops before, always had fast cars and this is my first truck.

That's why I said cycle. You want the bump to fully compress before the shock does or else it defeats the purpose of having a bump stop

No I get that, so what’s the easiet way to do this? I can jack one side up to see about droop but not sure about compression. And thank you.

    Reviving this post again...

First of all thank you, OP! I blew a rear billie because I neglected to extend my bumpstops. I really didn't want to spend tons of money on superbumps and was searching high n low for answers. I purchased some of these on Amazon. They have great poly bump stop options for around 30 bucks. (And the stock images look a lot like Wheeler's...) you should check it out for some front options. I am going to play around with them after I install these.

Question: how did you mount them so centered to the leaf center bolt? Did you drill a hole in your frame?

Revival - has anyone tried the GM bump stops upfront? Can get front and read on Amazon rn for $100. Seems like a good option.

This thread saved me so much. I ended up installing the GM bumps with a Wheeler’s flip kit and it rides so plush in the rear now. Crazy people spend $300 for the same stuff from sumo or timbren. Cost me $110 and 1 hour! (Before I get flamed, I trimmed the excess bolt shanks after this picture)

how much spacing did you add to the bump stop to keep the shocks from damaging themselves? im planning on getting king shocks for the rear and doing this but dont know how much these bump stops will compress

Great thread and just found some on Amazon with one-day delivery since most GM dealers only had 1 in stock (weird...) but they were also only $20 online... OP did you ever try anything for the front bumps, I know you mentioned maybe some others from a Hummer potentially.
