Spacers/blocks in the rear don’t have much affect on ride quality. Tacos have a leaf spring solid axle suspension in the rear. It’s much different than the double wishbone independent suspension in the front.

E load mud terrains are harsh compared to SL street tires. It’s one of the trade offs. Air them down a bit when you are traveling at off road speeds and they will feel nicer. I run my tall skinnies at about 37 psi on pavement and about 20 psi on dirt.

Not at all. They don’t change anything about the suspension. They only move the leaf spring higher above the axle. The only downside I am aware of is increased axle wrap.

I drove in a Taco with a block spacer and it drove like complete crap…i guess it was something else causing it

They don’t improve the suspension either.

Did it have a spacer in front too?

The front IFS is much different, not that I’m claiming it was the root cause of the harshness. Top hat IFS spacers modify the geometry of the suspension.

Those entry level Fox 2.0 shocks are "far from top of the line off road racing shocks".

Your cv boots will wear out exponentially quicker at that ride height.

In the fall of 20 there was a 6 month back log to get them. I had to send my old ones
out for refurb at almost the same cost to be able to use my truck again.

Take a picture of the preload on the top of the dampener

So is this something the shop should be able to fix? When going in I was told this was 2" to bring to level. Now I'm up 3.5 and need to raise the rear 1.5 to level. I asked if they could be adjusted and was told no. Kinda feel fucked over or they don't know wtf is going on.

Yes it needs to be lowered about an inch. You are probably close to out of down travel, and your cv axels are rubbing. You need to start over. Check the part numbers and see if you were sent wrong parts etc. something is definitely wrong. Should be 1.5-2” with those not 3.5”.

are those clip positions for setting the lower spring cup which adjusts the spring preload and ride height?

can you take a picture of the top of the shock where it bolts to the upper mount?

    Looks like it to me.

Needs to come down at least one, maybe both, depending on the spring rate.

ok, I had these on my second gen. They were harsh and definitely an entry level ‘adjustable’ coil over assembly.

they want pictures of the top because most chiller assemblies you can adjust from the top to set pre load.

On these, you need to compress the spring then adjust the bottom. You need to remove it from the vehicle to do so.

Edit; I’m lookin closer. I don’t know what you have bro. Are these even for a Tacoma? These don’t look like the normal 2.0 fox shock/coil

255/80 e rated & "struts" and wondering why it's harsh...

No uca's and those shocks look like they have more lift than my 3" Ironman setup. Is your bed loaded in the pic?

I wouldn't even run a 1" block in the rear. Wasn't it like two weeks ago some guy posted on here asking why his rear end was sagging to one side? Some will say 1" is okay but I wouldn't. Granted... That dude had like 3" blocks and some rough country shit lol. Still, not a fan of blocks and spacers, front or back.
