Hey taco fam. Couple questions here for those of you that could pass along some experience/guidance to a suspension newb. I finally have an open day next week to install and haven’t found too many references. The one thread I did come across stated that they were concerned about clearance issues running the piggyback res setup that comes with the shocks. Especially when tire is stuffed. Same person explained that they had to notch the shock tower(proper term?) a bit so the hose wouldn’t rub. Also saw another thread that OP opted for a frame mount but the brackets they ordered were too large for these specific shock/res combo. Questions are as follows:

Has anyone had clearance issues on the trail running the piggy back setup and did they also have to notch out some metal to make sure the hose wasn’t contacting?

For those that have decided to run a frame mount setup which bracket kit did you get that fit these reservoirs without concern?

    Pros/cons of either setup?

If running a frame mount did anyone opt to find a sleeve of sorts to wrap the braided hose like other shocks on the market?

    (Rubbers are 285/70r/17 nitto
    RGs)

Any other tidbits of wisdom are greatly appreciated. Thanks all for helping me with my build. Cheers!

I believe the brackets are made by Teraflex but will report back with a link

OP if you go this route make sure you have good clearance between the shock tower and the braided line, I don't wheel much but I've seen a few get rubbed through, not sure if it was due to clearance or articulation but just something to watch before you tighten your top nuts

x2 /\ you can grind down some of the shock tower to make room, add rubber to the shock tower etc. Just make sure they play together nicely

Thanks @AccuTune Offroad and @Natetroknot I’m going to swoop that bracket kit and opt for the frame mount. I’ll make sure to pay attention to clearing that braided line. Cheers homies!

@AccuTune Offroad hey I just realized you guys are in El Cajon! Do you have these brackets in stock? Hopefully I could just roll through and pick em up.
