I have a strange situation with my 2017 taco with fox 2.5 coilovers. On the drivers side I have the collar turned in to where there is 2 1/4 " of exposed threads from the top of collar. On the passenger side there is only 1 3/16" of exposed threads. Just about 1" difference (I think there's about 8 turns of the collar per inch). However, the truck sits perfectly level....... is this a acceptable? Seems like they should be much closer in the number of collar turns for both sides. Is it possible the drivers side is to compressed (need to take some turns out) and the pass. Is not compressed enough (needs more turns of the collar)? Is the drivers side helping lift both sides??

Been running them that way for nearly a year and never noticed until someone asked me to measure threads to compare with theirs.

Tacoma’s lean to the driver side because of the extra weight of the battery, gas tank, etc... It’s called tacoma lean, and the way you have your coils set is correct.

Dang I wouldn't think it would take 8 extra turns on the drivers side. OK thanks!

Thank you for this post. I have a 2017 TRD Pro and was wondering the settings on this suspension. I was familiar with the "Tacoma Lean" but now know how much it actually is for our specific year/model truck.

Does anyone know the max height this coil over can go?

Does maxing it out make any significant negative effects on performance?

I am asking because I am adding some weight to the truck with mods and want to know if I will need and/or have the ability to utilize the TRD PRO suspension I bought with truck or need to upgrade for new complete suspension or if spacers could do the trick to keep the truck at its current height (maybe even slightly higher).

    Adds are:
DiamondBack SE Tonneau Cover ~80 lbs
KB Voodoo Max Modular ALUMAX 10" Bed Rack ~48 lbs
SSO Slimline Hybrid Bumper ~30-40 lbs more than OEM
    Warn 8000s Winch ~80lbs
Approx Total mod weight: ~250lbs (About 120 Front & 130 Rear)

The rear will have a RTT on it for its intended function on trails as well but not on a day-to-day. Will still need to support the weight and perform with that extra load of around 165lbs to the rear.
