    hello folks,

Ran into a problem a day after I installed my 2.5 front fox coil overs . I was double checking all the bolts the next day and I touched the underside of the connection from the reservoir to the shock body And found it to be a little oily . it wasn’t pouring just a smug of oi underneath the nut and the reservoir hose so I ended up re tightening that nut . However it still was a little wet today . The Oil Smelled like WD 40 . Is this something I should be concerned about ? . It’s a brand new shock and the driver side is fine also no oil marks on the garage floor. Any advice is appreciated !.

Take photos and start a warranty claim.

I’d call fox right away and see if you can swap them although it might take a while

If you're leaking oil you've likely lost all the nitrogen as well so they need to be serviced regardless.

    Sounds like warranty. Good luck.
You need to ship to them in California and then if it is warranty they repair it Ave ship it back if not they'll call you for repair cost and you'll need to pay return shipping.

One of my rear shocks broke where the stud came out.

Tried dealing with fox .Although they were very helpful on the phone they couldn't guarantee mine would be warrantied and cost of shipping etc made it so expensive it was significantly cheaper to just get it fixed locally and pay out of pocket.

Shipping within the US is cheaper I imagine so it might not be that bad . Being North of the border it's expensive as fuck ($160) so wasn't worth it.

I'd call them immediately. From what I got taking to them leaking is often warrantied.

Otherwise if you know a shop the can rebuild shocks like these have them check it out

Fox shocks go back to factory for warranty and take weeks or months.
