Got my extended length Fox 2.5's (with LR UCA's) on with 2.0 rears and the new "light duty" Dakar pack.

Results are a 2" lift in the front and like 3.25-3.5" in the rear without making adjustments to the coilovers.

Questions is, how much preload do I need to ad to get the front up another 1/2"? and would that be too much for the original 600lb coils that come in them? Saw some threads mentioning going to a 700lb spring for less preload and even switching to a taller 600lb spring. Help?

Been searching a while and can't seem to find any solid answers.

    EDIT: Solved.

Go another 1/4". Drive it around a bit then measure. You shouldn't have to step up spring rates unless you add more weight. Bumpers skids winch ect.

What he said. Question, are you sure about the rear measurement? That would make the back a bit high I think...got any pics? I know I'm 3rd gen but just curious as I read about all gens.

Please post pictures and results (ride quality) of your coil adjustments! I'm looking into a very similar setup with the fox 2.5's front and back and I am debating between a 3 leaf progressive add a leaf or a dakar pack.

I'm curious how much you need to crank down the front coils to get them close to being even with the dakars. The crazy rear lift height (comparable to the front) forcing you to put so much preload on the coilovers--- and rougher than a progressive add a leaf ride are the two things that are keeping me from going the dakar route instead of a 3 leaf progressive add a leaf... otherwise the apparent extra droop of the dakars seems appealing.

    Mind at 2" of lift.

5 exposed thread equal 1/2" lift.

OP, I have a the same setup but with the old Dakar pack. I removed the 3rd leaf from the pack and sit pretty level. the rear settled a bit after a few days of driving.

My goal was improved suspension feel and more wheel travel with the least amount of lift possible so I didn't adjust the preload on the front coils. I only lost about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of lift up front with the bumper and winch installed.

Op, I have the same Coilovers. 8 turns of the spring collar gave me about an inch of lift.

Just got this installed the other day and I'm extremely satisfied with the ride quality and overall look.

One thing I have noticed a bit is the steering seems a little loose, even after alignment. Any thoughts?

What ended up being the solution? I have the same extended length COs and want to adjust them up 1". Can you post pics of the coilovers before and after, or at least just after. Thank you.

8 full turns of the collar will give you 1" of lift per the techs at Fox. (8 threads = 1")

Well I think I'm going to have to call them because mine came preloaded with 27 exposed threads and is supposed to be a 2" preset lift. Id hate to add 8 more lol. How many total exposed threads do you have on yours now?

I'm at 24 threads exposed which put me at 2 inches of lift over stock. For 2nd gens, that would be 3 Inches of lift. For 3rd gens, it's 2 inches of lift.

I didn't do any before and after measurements unfortunately. But I never adjusted them just installed them straight out of the box. Its been about 1 year and a half and I feel like the front drooped down a little but I feel like that is to be expected

Holy mackerel!!! that's a lot of preload! I bought my Foxes from Headstrong too and it didn't have THAT much threads showing. It showed about 16 threads which is roughly 2" of lift. Something doesn't add about your Fox coilovers.

I know right! I'm going for a 2.5 - 3" lift but idk. I emailed them to see if they dialed it in first. They are the extended length shocks so I figured that might make a difference.
