Hey everyone I have a 2013 DBCB TRD OF with Fox 2.5 coilover fronts and 2.0 rears w/AAL. Needing to upgrade UCA's to get alignment back into spec. I'm running Toyo A/T 265-75-16. When installed coilovers and had alignment done, the mechanic said the castor/camber was maxed out and wasn't much he could do. Did say it wouldn't hurt the tires but it does pull hard right. Looking into new UCA's and have been reading good things about Dirt Kings, but wasn't sure what exactly I should be looking for to increase the allowable adjustments for castor/camber.

Also, need new bump stops and was curious what anyone would recommend...any help/info is appreciated!!!

    Pics are also always helpful!

U gotta get SPC uca’s. They’re the best for alignments. Also I went with super bumps front & back

I run JBA UCA's and have had great luck with them.

another recommendation for SPCs due to their flexibility with alignment. however, be sure they are setup for alignment after install by someone who has done SPCs before or can read & follow instructions carefully. they must be setup properly before a final alignment or it'll be a mess.

You almost can’t go wrong with any of the options on the market. They all have pro’s and con’s. Fixed upper control arms with uniballs are best suited for heavy off-road use and arms with a more traditional ball joint are typically better suited for daily drivers. Depending upon where you live and how often you clean and take care of them uniballs can last a year or 10. In the pnw uniballs, sperical and heim joints seem to have a limited life. With all the rain and road debris it’s hard to keep up with routine maintenance. At the automotive shop I work at we pull more sperical joints off than we put on and they are usually replaced with a poly or delrin option. Spc’s are great for mixed use but in heavy wheeling the upper ball joint can slip and cause camber changes. I recently had this happen to me and while the change was fairly small it is something to be aware of.

I ran SPCs on my taco. Definitely recommend them due to the adjustability options.

SPC calls for 150 ft/lbs on the top nut. I had the same thing happen with it slipping about 1/8" when I first installed them 4 years ago. Since then I just put a 2' breaker bar on it and crank it down hard. I wheel a lot and it hasn't slipped at all since then. I also got really tired of the stock alignment cams slipping every wheeling trip so got rid of those and went with a cam eliminator kit. That was 2 years ago and I haven't had to visit an alignment shop since.

With the eliminate kit and the SPC"s I was able to get my alignment exactly where I want it on my 97 4Runner. The fact you can adjust castor as well as camber via the SPC's really makes them better then anything else on the market as far as adjustments go.

Rear superbumps go under your ubolts. You can see them here. It replaces those shitty pyramids stops

The front super bumps just replace your oem ones too. It’s right under the red brake line. It mounts above the lca

not the best pics but I can take some more after work this evening

I accidentally jumped the truck out on the sand dunes and it shifted. Only time I’ve had it happen. I usually torque them to 150 while doing the alignment and then give it a good extra twist once I’m done adjusting.

For bumpstops I run timbrens on the rears and wheelers super bumps on the fronts. I have ran the wheelers for 140k miles and the timbrens for 100k and they've been amazing through all the moderate wheeling, towing, and daily driving. They're trouble and worry free.

I like the timbrens enough to put them on my full size tow rig to help when I'm loaded pretty heavy.

I have had SPC's for a while now and they work like a champ at getting that alignment in check. I have no problems with them and I like them a lot. However, because I like form AND function I ordered these:

    https://afepower.com/afe-power-460-72t001-g-afe-control-upper-control-arms

I won't be installing them until late September when I have all sorts of the other suspension fun things arriving.

Anyway they look solid and have very similar adjustment capability as the SPC's. I also think they look better than the SPC's and not being cast, they are less prone to a nasty break for those of you who get up in the crawlin-rocks!

EDIT - I ordered these on July 6th for $768 - now they're priced at $921? SPC's definitely a little chapter than that.

I've got SPCs and really like how easy it is to adjust my alignment myself. Clean and functional and I've also never had issues with the top nut slipping.
