    ****SOLD**** These are Fox part number 039-26-004-A/A. They are standard length units, 600 lb springs. They have been completely rebuilt, including new heim joints. I will supply a copy of the paperwork. The shafts are in perfect condition. I have new mounting hardware (shock relocation brackets, bolts, clamps) The reservoir mounts have been sand blasted and painted with wheel paint.
    There is some minor corrosion on the shock body and res body, but aside from that, these are as good as new. I have the original shipping box to package them in, and the manual. $1,000 + shipping from Prescott, AZ.

    These shocks performed great on my truck until a seal started leaking. It was over Christmas holiday, so I was looking at being without a truck for 6 weeks. I ended up having to buy a whole new set of shocks to get back on the road. I debated keeping these for spares, but I have too much stuff just sitting around. Great deal and a great upgrade!

    If I'm not mistaken, these are adjustable from 0 ~ 3" of lift

    When I bought these I was told 0-3", but here is the deal. On a mostly street driven truck, 3" would be fine. On a truck that gets 4 wheeled, I would limit it to 0-2". The reason is that for every inch of lift that you dial in, you gain an inch of compression travel, and lose an inch of rebound travel. That limited rebound won't matter unless you are working the suspension over offroad obstacles.

    So yes, the official word is 0-3,...

    You don't gain but .4 of an inch +/-between the two. Not saying that it's not worth it, but the more you know! :boink:

    From my understanding, you can also make a non ext into and extended when torn apart.

    Not saying you're wrong because I don't know the exact specs, but why is it then if it's only .4" longer that you, according to the companies that sell king, must have uniball uppers so that your balljoints don't bind?

    I'm not going to lie and act like I know the correct answer. Let's pull the specs. This is information I have gathered from a previous shock rebuild and I could be off.

    My point is that dont miss a great deal for an extra (possible) inch of travel. Everyone has their own desires though so by all means, you fill yours.

    From @Downsouth Motorsports website. Assuming I choose the correct shocks and did a proper comparison.

    @desertjunkie760
    Shock travel =/= wheel travel. Think back to basic trigonometry. The shock is mounted closer to the pivot point on the lower control arm than the wheel and will travel less compared to the wheel. The extra 1" of droop is at the wheel, not the shock. Its the same reason the shock is only listed as having 4.89" of travel, while these trucks are known to have around 10" of wheel travel.
    Not all "extended travel" shocks are created equal though. The kings have more "extended" travel than the Fox shocks do.

    the only difference in standard and extended is typically a internal droop limiting spacer that is removed. the spacer is typically around .375.
    as stated above, shock travel and wheel travel are not the same.
    the spacer can be removed to make it extended travel. the reason aftermarket upper arms are required is the added wheel travel that is too much for a stock ball joint.

    This makes a lot more sense. Thank you for clarifying. I have read similar information before and helps clear up my confusion. GLWS
