After many months of scrolling through threads on this forum and researching the different brands and lifts, I've narrowed things down to wanting to buy FOX 2.0 Rears w/ the external reservoir and the Icon 1.5" AAL. However, I'm still stuck between the front coil overs between FOX 2.5 DSC w/ reservoir vs without the reservoir.

Off of Wheeler's Offroad website, which is where'd I've decided to buy the parts, brings my options to the following prices.

    Icon 3-Leaf AAL $220
    FOX 2.0 Rear Shocks w/ Reservoir $540
    FOX 2.5 DSC w/ Reservoir $2040
    FOX 2.5 w/o Reservoir $1410

I'm in the mentality of buy once cry once, so I wouldn't buy spending the extra $600 for the DSC and Reservoir if they are worth it. So my question is if the DSC and Reservoir are really worth the $600, have any of you all tried both and felt like the DSC + Reservoir have made a real difference? After trying the DSC + Reservoir would you notice if they were gone?

My driving is primarily on roads with the occasional monthly offroad beach trip, but I work construction so I do drive through bumpy roads throughout the day. I'm really searching for the smoothest on road driving and just as nice offroad.

Tuned Fox 2.5 resi with dsc, JBA HD UCA, total chaos knuckle gussets, rear trd pro fox shocks, Deaver U402 stage 1 rear leafs, archive garage u bolt flip with fox 2.0 air bumps, White knuckle off road rock sliders, BAMF 1/4” steel skids, Magnaflow exhaust, Archive Garage Hammer Hangers, Cbi high clearance rear bumper, 285/75/16 tires.
If you’re primarily on road there is no point to go with a reservoir shock. The 2.5 non resi is more that capable of dirt roads and construction sites. I paid $1,600 for my 2.5 fox resi with DSC so you can find them cheaper than $2,000 unless you want tuned shocks from accutune.

Thanks for the info! I know either or would be a huge upgrade from my current spacer lift.

Where’d you find them for $1600?

I think I got mine from 4 wheel parts. I had them price match I think Amazon or somewhere else. I looked it up and seems like they are more now. But I’m sure you can get them cheaper from a vendor on here.
