wouldn't the bump stops limit wheel travel? or are they made smaller.

And can't tell from pic but did the sway bar connect to the reservoir?
And got a link for which u bolt flip you used?

How big of pain in the ass will it be to rebuild those shocks ? Cause if it's your daily driver, then what ? How long does that all take ? I am looking at the same setup but for some reason the spring rate is 600 pounds and I need more to account for my overland gear.

    depends on wear i guess.

The off roading I do is just crawling on trails. No desert racing or anything. pretty much 1st gear 4lo the whole time, lots of rocky trails.

Honestly my concern is how they'll stand up to the winter here.

If you're crawling on trails like me, the shackle flip would be beneficial. I regularly get a rear wheel up in the air when I wheel. More doop would be great. It's on the lost of my upcoming mods.

no thanks. i still daily drive and I tend to not slow down for speed bumps lol.
No need for shackle flip to me. In all fairness I took my truck off road stock and it did pretty good. Even with a wheel off in rock setting for MTS did fine.

Rather not risk causing a problem etc.

To be completely honest the main issue I found off road was lack of approach angle which will be helped a lot with lift.

I speed up for speed bumps  I have literally not heard of any one with issues with shackle flips though. Let us know how you like the foxes. I was initially going to get them but they were sold out pretty much everywhere. Ended up with the icons. They soak up bigger hits like nothing.

I already have the fox stuff just need the UCAs and dakars.

Will probably be done over the fall so just trying to finish getting stuff together for it.

Interesting because you know that famous raptor jump where he basically totals it? Had the icon shocks and they just swapped them over to the new truck. Were fine even after that giant jump. The shock mounts though...lol.

    Check My Sig.
Not my experiences, just what I'm catching on to from my readings. I'm familiar with the vid. If those shocks survived that crash, then the mounts failed way before anything else and salvaged the rest.

We obviously have different opinions on suspension setups and I can't say if they are for different applications. I can only advise the OP to do his research and decide for himself. I find that altering the factory geometry to achieve more droop is not what I'm looking for and puts additional stress on suspension components intended for different geometry.

If you disagree with the previous thread being caused by a poor suspension setup then I'd be interested to see what you believe the cause was. Dakars should be able to handle that amount of weight if the suspension is setup correctly.

Why not do a rear shock relocation kit in the rear?

    not right now at least

If I feel a need to get more out of it after maybe but right now no.

Thinking just u bolt flip and i guess I need to upgrade bump stops
on for now. maybe one day I'll remove and see how it is without. city driving I imagine is fine, but highway would be sketchy

I wanted to avoid bottoming out the shock. Not sure if it would without them but you can see in the pic how much they compressed by the rubber ring on the shaft. I had the 3/8" spacer but took it

Wheels are stealth custom series and tires in that pic were 265/70/17 but now have 285s
