Thoughts on the 550 coils? Why not the 600 lb coil.

its cause he has a spindle and hes 2wd, so he doesnt need to gain any lift out of the spring, it just holds the truck up. and 2wd like 150 lbs lighter in the front.

I haven't hit dirt with them so I can't really give a real analysis, but I liked them for the few street miles they saw. Truck stayed planted and stable on them without a front sway bar.

I decided on the 550 coils based on recommendations from people that I trust, who build their own tacos, have tried multiple rates and run them HARD.

    This too.

Yeah I'm pretty familiar with why a 2wd drive taco would select the 550s, I just wanted to hear feedback on them in use. I keep going back and forth on the two rates myself and was more looking to go with the 550s.

I thought 4wd have about 300 lbs on us 2wd.

Sounds about right, once you add up the weights of the front diff, shafts, axles, hubs etc...

They're yours as soon as I can find a buyer for the shocks. Is your truck still at LSK?
