Really want to go with fox because they’re cheaper in price. But will they perform just as good as kings? I like to drive fast in the desert and float through whoops. This has been the toughest decision. Suggestions?? Thanks!

I love my kings, I hit 75-80 on the flats (that aren’t flat) that has some whoops and I’m only mid travel. Truck handles it like a champ. No Ragerts!

Not sure where you are located, but foxes like to rust. Looks like snow in your profile pic. Mine started rusting in a year. I have kings on my truck now, and my wife's, and they have been holding up well. The Kings do seem to ride better.

I've done a mod or two
I rock kings and icons. Kings rear icons front. As long as they're tuned properly for your rig I don't think one over the other (king, fox, icon, saw) will make or break you. I've had all my shocks tuned for my truck to improve their feel and performance and I highly recommend that to anyone else as well to get the most out of their setups.

Which components of shocks were rusting? Coilover, rear, threading? I stay in so cal with no snow present. Profile pic was over the weekend.

Typically the threaded shock body on Foxes and only on their 2.5" series. The 2.0s are aluminum and they tend to strip and well, they're 2.0s haha

That's the first I've ever heard of Kings being better for rust vs fox .

I got fox all the shops here said they stand up to our winters better so far so good.

This is the first I've ever heard of it and every shop here in Ontario say fox stands up to winters here in Canada way better than Kings.

I believe I’ve spoken with you on my previous thread I started a few weeks back. As you can tell this is the toughest decision ever. I was aiming towards fox after getting your input but I found a good deal from a member on some Kings coilover and shocks only. But it’s still going to cost more after getting UCAS and leaf. I can literally save a few hundred if I go with complete fox setup from headstrong. That’s only if it will perform just as good and will be suitable for my type of driving.

@jquest I've heard nothing but good things about headstrong off road but you should check out @Babyjake16 he has had really good deals on fox cheapest I could find and great customer service

I live in hawaii, and am never more than a few miles from the ocean

In less than a month my coilover shafts were rusting
So i thought i got a lemon batch
So i got them replaced by fox
And then they started rusting again

They perform great but the alloys they use on the shafts....dont like salt?

    Or is it me?

FWIW, my fox shafts were perfect, and had them on for years. Just the bodies had surface rust but they rode great.
