I don’t know why you guys aren’t just waiting for the back order to clear. I mean, they sent a letter and everything.

Exactly. No patience. In my day we waited months for a Fox suspension.

Jokes aside the convenience of ordering things today is so mind boggling... you guys seem old enough for Sears catalogs(using that reference cause the young hip kids mightve heard of it)

But It was Montgomery Wards Catalog in my house growing up and my mom used to order car parts for the ol ford pickup her dad gave her through that catalog. I loved working on that truck with her(I was quite little so I just watched) but Oh the anticipation of having to MAIL in your order with a check payment, then WAITING for them to receive the order and mail it out to you with NO confirmation or idea other than the generic "please wait up to 6 to 8 weeks" statement on the order form:rofl:

If you don't fall in that category, then pardon my assumption :)

I recall sending in cereal box tops to get crap like little die cast race cars. They took so long to arrive I usually forgot I even sent away for them. And I still have a few or. them 50+ years later. But now I fire up the interweb click on a picture of something I want and it shows up on my doorstep one or two days later. Present case excepted.

I’m 33 but I remember the ordering catalogs for some of them. Sears was one of them. I also remember the truck that use to sell ice creams and meats that you ordered through a catalog

Do you have any idea how many boxes of cereal I had to eat as a kid to earn my family a new Fox suspension?

I wish I had one of the Sears or JcPenny Christmas catalogs we would receive each year growing up! My brother and I would wear the pages out flipping through all the new cool toys...like the original Star Wars Millenium Falcon, or the JARTS that would kill your ass!

I was wondering if someone would go there.

My JC penny catalog never made it to the next season.

Yikes. I used to flip through the JC Penny catalog just to go through the women’s bra and underwear section.

My Dad's shop had Playboy's in the bathroom. I learned at a young age there were better things than the catalog's bra and underwear section.

Yeah my best friend growing up’s Dad had a locked closet with his Playboy collection. Like serious collection. Every issue unopened/pristine spine and individually wrapped in a dust sleeve.

The value of that collection plummeted once we finally got into that closet.

    Poor Arty Newman.
