Been reading y’all’s DSC articles but can’t find an answer to my problem…

I have Fox 2.5 smooth bodies with resi and DSC in the rear and on one of the LSC (gold) knobs, I can’t feel the detents when I’m turning. From what I’ve read online, the LSC “clicks” are more subtle than the HSC. I definitely feel that difference, but between my 4 shocks, one of them feels like there are no LSC clicks at all.

Is there something I can/should check on the shock or DSC?

Unfortunately there is not much I could suggest you check, since all of the working components are inside the adjuster assembly. Similar the high speed adjuster (has 3), there is a spring loaded ball bearing on the stud (connected to the low speed knob) that would provide that detent feeling. We could speculate on whats going on, but they would just be guesses. Does the knob at least stop rotating at some point in both directions?

Yes, the LSC knob rotates smoothly, stops on both ends of the rotation and the changes in dampening do seem to take affect. From what I can tell it’s fully functional…I just can’t feel any “clicks”. I tried zooming in on your photos of the disassembled DSC knobs, but I could not tell where the LSC detent mechanism was (the equivalent of the 3 spring loaded ball bearings for HSC).

Do you have any pictures of the LSC detent? Maybe I’m missing a spring or bearing on that one shock.

I don't have anything I can publicly share. Like I mentioned, the parts are hidden inside the assembly. Not something you can open up easily to inspect. Could be missing spring, could be stuck spring, could be missing ball bearing, not sure. If it's something you would like to get inspected, not sure how old they are, but it may still fall into Fox's Warranty. You could contact them about a warranty replacement/repair.

Do you have or can you recommend a spanner wrench to adjust the blue DSC knob? I have one that is very hard to turn, I currently use two drill bits stuck into the holes backwards to get the leverage needed to turn it.

Gotcha. Wasn't sure if they were accessible by removing just the knobs (like the HSC springs and bearings) or if they were buried deeper in the DSC assembly. Sounds like the latter. The shocks are 6+ years old now, so I doubt Fox is covering them. Is it something y'all can service if I send them in?

I would not recommend using a spanner wrench or anything like that with leverage. This tool would be the only thing I would recommend

Gotcha. Yes we can service those shocks. We would open them up, clean everything, inspect spring and ball bearings to see if they need to be replaced or just re-greased and put back together. If thats something you would like to get sent in, just shoot our sales team an email and we can get an estimate over to you. If the shocks are 6+ years old, it may be time for a rebuild as well.
