I guess they can test the actual "weight" of the springs. They said mine were not 600lbs they were less than 500lbs. They also replaced both shafts (I dont know if they were the wrong size or what) and some other Misc. parts. When you send them in they give you a BOM of all the work they did.

Edit: I still think they make good products and they were cool about everything I must of just hit a bad manufacturing run or something. I wanted to fill you in on my resolution because I feel like we were having similar issues

I figured as much and it'll be a static 400 or so once I get a cap on there so I was thinking option#2 on the setup. I'm just wondering if I can live without the 2" of travel in practice or if it will be worth the cost after I sell the shorter shocks.

Which shocks do you have? I’m running Icon RXT’s on option 2 and have Fox 883-26-007 and I haven’t had any issues. I also have a steel bed rack and rtt with a combined weigh of about 240 lbs that I have on my truck 9 months out of the year. Center of wheel cap to bottom of fender flare I’m at 24 1/2” with the rack and roughly 24 1/4” with the rack and rtt. I don’t do extreme off-roading but my Taco is no mall crawler either. Not sure if this helps you or not but figured I’d throw it out there.

Yeah I have those minus the adjuster right now. I picked them up on that Wheelwell sale so only paid like for them and really only intended them to reduce the fade I was seeing stock. I've decided to hold on to the truck for at least the next few years so I'm looking to get a little lift and go skinny 33's instead of 265/75's. I think they'll do well enough... I'm not looking for maximizing my performance on this truck since it'll probably be gone once I pay it off.

Joined the club today 2.5 non resis in the front and 2.0 resis in the back. Only got 1/2” in the front out of the box, but we will see if that changes after getting an alignment.

Nice I am looking at that exact same setup from accutune minus the leaf pack. Did you purchase from accutune?

Ahhh yes Marie always provides the best of the best knowledge and help. She has provided me with just that on my maxtrac spindle lift and rear shocks. 2A6BC285-99DA-42C6-8E7B-763E74BFBAEE.jpg

My rebound rate seems way too high. Thinking of adding some armor to my truck; Would the added weight effectively reduce rebound?

    600# 13"
top hat to LCA shock mount measures 21". I was planning on dropping them down a bit to prevent top out.. I know the added weight of full skids will drop the ride height anyway, and didn't want to mess with them more than I already have.

What is the truck doing to make you think the rebound is too high, and what rear leaf springs/shock setup do you have?

After my front wheels go past the peak of a speed bump the coilovers seem to rebound super quick and make a bang. I know now they are topping out with my current measurements. I was running it at this height to avoid hacking up the fenders too much. I have off the shelf valving too. Does foxs standard tune normally come valved for more weight than stock?

My theory at this point is:

add armor: additional weight = dampened
    rebound

Added weight bonus= lower ride height and more droop

My shocks also top out, they did with 600lbs springs and do the same with 650. No matter what your setup is it’s going to top out depending on what you hit. Mine for sure don’t top out on speed bumps but when I’m running hard I feel them a lot, going to add some limit straps to help save the shocks.

@AccuTune Offroad is it possible to put in a longer shock (like Fox 2.5 long travel) for the sake of keeping the lift and having more droop? Without having to go full Long Travel kit. Could use a limit strap to keep CVs and UCAs healthy?

Why I thought of this: My truck is lifted 2" in front and looks great with good approach/depart angles and ground clearance, but I'm at 21" shock length on Fox 2.5 extended travels. I want to lower it to get more useable downtravel but don't want to sacrifice those other perks I mentioned.
