    Based on some tech info I have, its about 1.20" of thread showing. However, the driver and passenger side likely have different amounts of preload. I can triple check tomorrow and see if we have any in stock.

    Numbers were correct, just measured both sides. Both are about 1 1/8" of threads showing with a standard 13x600 spring (Fox part number: 039-26-004-A)

    14x650 springs are VERY different than a 13x600.

    How much weight do you have up front on your Truck, or plan to have?

    Bumper/winch combo is ~150#.
    Steel engine/mid skid and steel sliders. Not sure what any of those weight.

    Everything is tuned as they would have been direct from Fox, aside from the 14x650 springs.

    Right on, may be a little on the stiff side with spring rate and valving wont be tailored to those springs. Worth trying at least

    I have some 13x600 springs on hand as well. Suppose if I’m gonna throw them on a compressor to lower the preload I could simply swap springs over to the 600s and match Fox’s OE set preload?

    What’s your professional opinion on those two scenarios given the weights mentioned above?

    I would need to know more exact weights. If you have a spring compressor available to you, then I would run whats on there now with the 650 and see how it is. You will likely need to make some subtle changes to get ride height correct, but thats pretty normal for trucks with custom mods. I would also recommend skimming through our preload article.

    Thanks. I’ve read through most all your articles, lol.

    If I had to through more precise weights I’d say in the neighborhood of ~350# for the skids and sliders. My rig was 5400# when I weighed it last weekend with a full tank of gas.

    Rearward weight is comprised of a fiberglass camper shell (~200-250#) and ~75# of gear and tools.

    I wouldn’t quite say I have a spring compressor readily available. A neighbor that had offered to assist if needed has access to one at his work.

    Depends on what you're looking for. You want a rebuildable, tunable shock...yes, they are worth it.

    Well I did some quick searching and found the website. Unfortunately that spacer is an upsell to provide more lift to the shocks in the kit.

    I have a 2021 TRD Pro with Fox shocks. Like the way they ride on and off road. Haven’t done any serious off-roading yet, but very impressed with stock Fox’s on the Pro’s.

    You should call Accutune and discuss your needs/wants. They know their stuff and can guide you with knowledge. I bought mine from them and they are great! Plus you get them tuned included in the price which is no higher than anywhere else.

    It depends on how much it is compressed. The pro shocks are internal bypasses, so they're position sensitive meaning that there is a "ride zone" roughly in the center of travel of the shock, in which the oil can bypass the piston giving a more compliant ride, but once the shock is compressed to the point of the bypass holes, the shock effectively has more damping force as the oil can no longer bypass the piston and is forced to go through the shim stack. So if you lower ride height enough you'll be at the edge of the ride zone and getting into the bump zone which will cause it to ride much more firm. Once I get my PRO shocks apart and rebuilt I'll know exactly where the ride zone is and have actual numbers to reference for ride heights.
