Rebound is the same with out the 1.800 valve

On one of my shocks they forgot to change the 1.800 valve and it still had a .008 shim so they come really soft....

I’m just glad I got the adjusters, I can just add a few clicks to firm it up and it’s not bouncy anymore.

I'm not really convinced their 2" recommendation is accurate. I have tried to figure out max preload myself but no one has block height data on the 13" long springs.

It is surprising how quickly the weight increases with passengers and common upgrades ... I've seen a lot that are massively over GVWR.

The more I go past their 1.925" rec., the less droop I have. I have 3.5" droop/ext. @ 1.925" & the more pre-load I add, the less droop I have.

Yup, that's how preload works. Anytime you thread the adjuster up or down you're changing the height and how much droop you have.

Super hype to get my rear Fox 2.0's with CD adjusters on Monday! :D

I bought them second hand from a TW member who only had them on his truck for about 3,000 miles. They're gonna come with the resi clamps but I'm thinking I want to frame mount them instead.

What are people doing as far as resi brackets? I know King sells a 2nd/3rd gen specific bracket but I dunno if it would work.

And then there's the other problem that I still don't have budget for the fronts... :lalala::bananadead:

Can anyone tell me if a specific strut extension is used when combined with fox 2.5 coil-overs? I need a 2" extension to accommodate the existing bracket lift. Shop says they're 200.00 I call b.s. feedback appreciated. Part# 880-26-007

As far as I know nobody makes a tacoma kit. That kit I sent drills onto the frame. I wish I got some roost shields for added protection, I’m too lazy to take my shocks off to add them now. :D

Fox user and owner here. My only real complaint is that they have corroded and rusted a little quicker than they should, because apparently the protective plating they use is not necessarily the best stuff around.

With that being said they are still the best investment I have ever put into my truck for suspension, but I use a combo of Fox/ SAW for my rig.

Beware. The Fox kit is almost too long...

    FYI:
The Fox RR frame mounting kit is BS. Here's the part number and the reservoir mounted. The bracket slots for the hose clamps is 1/2" too wide, at a minimum. The reservoir is barely clamped! Picture is crooked but mount is level.

Update: Looks like an install issue. Resi hose hit shock mount.

    ————————————————

Not impressed so far. <35 miles since install, all on pavement. What is the Fox warranty department like to deal with?

985-25-118 performance series 2.0 remote reservoir with OME Dakar medium leaf pack.

Noticed a weird oil trail into the driveway, look underneath and rear shock is pouring oil out. Leak was from where the remote reservoir line comes off the main body.

Hopefully can get it swapped out fast.

Looks like the resi hose is contacting your shock mount and that stress caused the failure.

Resi hose is touching your upper shock mount, definitely busted under compression. Here’s my hose, I made sure I had at LEAST 1/4” of clearance.

    Working on it now....UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Your shock is mounted without necessary clearances. The reservoir also needs to be moved 180 degrees.

I check mine often. The shocks can rotate even when installed & fully tightened. I grab it & twist it (difficult but doable) away from the mount when necessary. One day I'll trim that upper mount.

Yeah, they installed that way too close to the mount.
