because its fun to watch suspension work.
fox coilovers and rear 2.5shocks both with dsc.
need to get a revalve soon as i have added way more weight. also need a stiffer spring.

Is your rear tuned by Accutune? I need to setup a camera for my rear setup.

both front and rear were tuned by accutune. however when i gave him my corner weights, my truck was probably 1500lbs lighter lol. so right now my dsc adjusters are full on and i could still use a bit more. but my plan was do go out and do a custom session with him when i finish my class11 bug build so i an have both tuned at the same time.

    heres my truck currently.
    its a portly pig

Yeah the 600 is on the light side, for more than 2" of lift the preload is crazy and you can hardly turn the adjuster.
With the 650 it much easier to adjust be cause you use less preload.

Now if I can get the spring back off....... That's the problem I need to do another tweak on the valving and getting that spring off is a b****...
I popped of the 600 not too bad now I'm having trouble getting the 650 off and there are no shock guys in WI....
Think I'm going put in shorter lower spring retainer, so I can get them apart easier...
I'm thinking of putting in the 1.6 length... If everything clears...

    [IMG][IMG]

These guys use the flat one to go from 14" to a 16" spring for a chevy...

Won’t that cause you to have to make a bunch of preload again?

I will have the same preload(tension) but it be lower on the threads so I will have to screw the collar down more but I will also be able to back the collar off so get the spring off easier. will give me anther inch or so to loosen it up..

I have to test it out....

I do know these spring tools max out on the 650 spring with these shocks... A little scary.... I need to get a clam shell spring remover, seams to be the best, but another $200...

This spring compressor is a good option. High quality and heavy duty.

I wouldn’t even try it with those! Maybe use 2 sets at one time?

Yeah, those can only do so much.. Regular shops won't or can't get the springs off. I have a truck guy about 45 min away I can try next week.
That's why I'm going to try changing the lower retainer so I can back off the spring and get it out easier...

So informative! That sealed my decision about hydraulic bumps. Which bumps and brackets are you using? Would you change anything about your setup if you where starting from stock today?:hattip:

rear bump is something i welded up. a clone of the tc or camburg. cant remember.
if i did it again i might have just went with bypass shock for more tuning. but so far this thing does well.
i still want some hydro bumps for the front.

They both are placed towards the Rear of the truck but I’m not really liking the Driver Side mounting location. I decided to come on here and see if anyone had the same issues and it seems like many do. I did see a couple other mounting locations I may try myself.
