When I inquired about adding a spacer above the Fox shocks with their customer support the rep gave me a 10 minute lecture and practically had a heart attack before the line got "disconnected"

Whats everyone’s reccomendation for longer springs on 2.5 RR? Only added weight I have are sliders but I want to eventually add skids and maybe a bumper.

Good point. I believe with stock bumps we are still limited by the bump stop...

I'm not having a problem yet, but this re-valve I'll have to ck it out, the driver side has a little more down travel clearance. My tires and bumps are still hitting on full stuff right now and both sides seam to hit really even.

I'm from road racing, so I like have having more even preload(sag), But it's much better with the 650 springs.

Replacement springs are 14" and depends on what you're doing with the truck.
But over all the 600 is too light but gives easier flex.
The next spring is the 650 14" and if you're running 2 1/2" or more lift works great.
I have stock front and works much better at the dunes..
For crawling might be a little stiff till you get some weight on it...

I would just run the stock springs and when you add weight, if you want more height and can’t preload the coil anymore than step up to a 650lb. It might be too stiff with no weight and 650lbs right from the start.

Hi guys, I am looking at the Fox level 3 with HD Dakars at @HeadStrong Off-Road.

    Will be running:
    ~120lb steel sliders
    ~35lb alum cab rack
    ~50lb alum cab rack
    ~80lb alum full skids
    ~40lb alum front bumper
    ~varying camping gear, say 300lb ?

Will eventually run RTT and alum rear bumper.
Only want a 1.5" lift for both front and back and keep them leveled.

Would this kit be sufficient? Anything else I need to consider?
Will be doing mostly overlanding and dont mind doing high-speed runs here and there.

The rear will be higher than 1.5", even w/all that & 300lbs back there.

I suppose I can keep 0.5" rake and keep the front at 1.5" or just make everything 2". I dont need UCA if I keep it at 2" or below right?

I'll always say yes to that ^^^ question so you can get the alignment dialed in perfectly but they aren't required.

Are you saying that alignment wont be right if I dont get the UCA? Ive been reading throughout the forums and it seems general consensus is it isnt required under 2". I just assumed alignment numbers wouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the insight by the way. I just got into the Tacoma scene and this truck is f-ing amazing..

You’ll probably want UCAs. With a 2016+ the only way to get > 1” of lift over stock is ext travel coil overs which require UCAs. This is if you follow Fox recommendations which some choose not to. The ext travel have an additional 1” of lift possible for a total of 2” over stock for a 3rd gen.

This is because 2016+ are already an inch higher than second gens.

To get closer to 1.5” of lift on both front and rear, you could always adjust the coil over and take a leaf out of the rear.

It’s the internet so I’m sure someone will correct me if I am wrong or missed anything.

I thought the CO is adjustable with a range of 0-2" for the regular travel?

Most Fox shock specs are for a 2nd gen. Since a 3rd gen sits 1” higher from factory, subtract an inch from those numbers.

How are the Rear 2.0 resi w/adjusters? Anyone running them? I have a camper shell and about another 200lbs in the bed and the 5100s are not enjoying it. Leaf springs are The Dakar pack.

I have Fox 2.5 W/adjusters up front, I am looking to ad a aluminum bumper, and synthetic line winch and sliders.. with wife and two kiddos in the back...

Would the 14” 650 lbs coils be sufficient for 2.5” of Lift? I am happy with the ride I get now with my Foxes.. it’s smooth on road and off road.. I want to keep the ride with the added weight..

What lift hight are you at now? What's your preload measurement?? Double cab? Would think you would at least need the 14 inch 650s.. my 13 inch 600s need almost two inches of preload to get to 2.5 of lift with just sliders. Have 14 650s on hand if I upgrade bumpers in the future!
