Just make sure you lube the threads if you already have the spring on there and there's any amount of preload on it. It can be VERY hard to turn and will bugger up the threads a bit. I use a TriFlo dry lubricant on the threads to make sure I don't ruin anything. Mine came preloaded (way too much) and I needed to reduce the preload. I ended up using two spring compressors to reduce the tension on the collar, lubed the threads, and then bolted the top hat to a piece of wood so it wouldn't move when I tried to turn the threads. Keep in mind, this is if you already have the spring on the assembly and you don't have it on the truck. And yes, mine were VERY tight. I wasn't happy haha.

I was told the adjusters on the 2.5 are better and when tuned increase ride and performance over the 2.0...
Probably more then I need but would rather have the control if I need it. I'm definitely getting the extended travel shocks front and rear and will decide what configuration for the RXT spring will work best but thinking #2 for the lift hieght but might try #1 and only go 2" up front.

What bump stops would work correctly for the 2.5 extended travel foxes with the RXT springs in the 2nd or middle option ..??

X3 punch and lube. I drowned the collet. And don't back the Allen bolt on the collet too far out or it'll jump threads.

I am adding a ADDS honeybadger front bumper and a warn winch. the back with be loaded with a Rci bedrac with rotopax and RTT full time. I have mob town sliders on right now and going to be running a Hc rear bumper as well. by pelfreybilt I believe.

this is it right now but I will be adding all that in the next few months to come and I just wanna prep for the weight.. will running 700lb coils be ok right now? what setting will I need to put the preload at to net about 2.75 inches of lift?

    edit.

this is the spring i bought from wheelers offroad. eibach 14" 700lb coil

You really shouldn’t exceed 23” hub to fender, or 2” of lift on a 3rd gen.

Apparently ADS and king have debunked that with testing? Recent conversation I've had on here with a fella.

What have they debunked? The fact that your CVs will be at an extreme angle and could lead to premature failure?

I'm assuming they pulled actual measurements on the CV angles , documented and tested, and came back that there are more subtle difference in geometry from second to third gen and the 3" lift on 3rd gen can be had with premature wear.

So why would you set it to that height when you have no idea how much it will sag? Put the springs on and let them settle then set your ride height. But it’s up to you, your truck and your decision.

Have a link to the testing? I’m not arguing more just curious.

He doesn’t have anything from ADS to back up the claims and also no measurements for his numbers. He said 3” but did he measure before and after?
