Hoping someone can here me. Looking to finally install my fox 2.5 coilovers with resi. I misplaced the bolts that secure the top hat of the coilover into the coil bucket. Does anyone know what size bolts to get?

I'm pulling off icons 2.5 coilovers. Would these bolts work on the fox coilovers?

    Thx

    1) yes
    2) yes, it will give you 1.5" of lift and will be almost perfect with rear height
    3) keep the plastic wrapping on 'em so when you're installing you don't scratch the coils

For my Fox 2.5 Extended Travel Coilovers:

Fastener, Standard: Bolt [3/8-16 X 0.750 TLG] Alloy, Hex Head Cap, Grade 8

I had to order some of these after I accidentally put the wrong bolt in one my top hats and it sheered off when I went back to re-torque everything. Was a PITA.

Well after a mess of ordering then backordered, reordering and returning the 2.5 non res. I ended up saying f it and dropped the money :spending:on 2.5 res extended travel and JBA caster plus uca.
    :bananadance:

I’m looking to level the truck. Any input on what I can do to the rear to keep stock height but improve the performance. Spring pack and shock options.

Removed the two Dakar overload springs and put my 1.5” block back in. The Tacoma simply does not have enough weight to flex an overload spring let alone two of them. Truck now uses much more of its travel instead of slapping into a wall steel in the first 1.5” of up travel. The ride is SO MUCH BETTER! Look at that droop.

29.5” hub to fender at droop, and
23.5” hub to fender static sag on
10.1” travel Fox DSC (15.2” compressed /25.3” extended)
= 4.1” up and 6.0” down which is freaking awesome.

get the 2.0 res "117's" and no leaf pack. raises front 1.5", keep the rear the same, adds droop and adds performance. headstrong offroad explains why: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/why-we-use-the-fox-117s-over-the-116-in-our-kits.586232/

I'm about to swap in some fox 2.5 coilovers with resi. I put 14" 700# springs on the coilovers. I'm running steel bumper, skid, and sliders in the front. Approximately how much should I have them cranked to get around 2.5" of lift?

if you're a 2nd gen, my understanding is that they come from factory at 2.5" because mine gave me 1.5" out the box and i'm a 3rd gen which sits 1" higher than 2nd gens already.

Are you using stock shock mounts? Bump stop spacers?

Yep. Stock mounts and bumps although i plan to replace the bumps soon.

    Full setup below:

Front: Fox 2.5 DSC on 14” 600lb Eibach coils. 2” of preload.

Rear: FOX-985-24-108 2.0 LSC paired with Dakar leafs and a 1.5” block.

The rear shocks are made for a TJ front so @AccuTune Offroad built them using lower bushings and sleeves for a Tacoma.

Same issue for me. Just had 2.5s with 14” #650 eibachs installed and I have 1/2” of down travel.

Need advice, how much should I crank it up? An inch? @*TRD* This should lower the truck right? Not concerned too much about lift.

Start by raising it an inch, but you’ll ultimately want a 600 lb/in spring.

For those with 14” 600 lb springs, about how much did they settle after installed and driven on? About to put new springs on and I want to preemptively set them a little high to minimize adjustments after they settle down.
