    Then they won't warranty them.

I wouldn’t let that stop you. The chances of needing a warranty will be slim. I’m sure both companies are willing to work with you if you did need warranty services.

    Yep.

I have Kings on both the 4Runner and the taco. Well, taco still has Fox in the rear. I had fox 2.5 coilovers up front too before the SAS, and the fox coilovers and rear shocks were rusting within a year. Kings are a lot beefier in my opinion. Thicker hoses, larger diameter shafts. When I get around to finishing the rear on the taco, it will also have 12" Kings.

Aren’t Kings on a 7/8”s shaft as well?

Never been asked. In fact I’m not sure anyone has even considered lifting a Taco before. Let us know if it can be done.

Fox and King Use similar technology.

Yeah, my rear fox shocks is 5/8" shaft, but I see they also come in 7/8" so same I guess. Maybe they sent me lower class rears
There was nothing wrong with the fox shocks other than the corrosion. Maybe they put better coatings now too. Can't go wrong with either.

Gotcha. They do make the 2.0s in 5/8” shaft and it’s significantly smaller in comparison. That also explains the smaller hose too. The 2.0s with the 5/8” shaft has a -5 hose (little metal braided one) as opposed to be larger rubber -8 or even -10 that is likely on your Kings.

That's how I ended up with Icon before, couldn't decide between Fox or King. Now I want to see what progressive valving feels like.

Looks like due to lack of funds I will be going with your recommendation to buy now and tune later ...
Was hoping to get it all at once but it's just not financially realistic..!!

    Sounds like a plan!

I kind of like the idea so that you can get an individual comparison yourself. It’s not the most ideal way, but that’s parts of the fun.
