Hey, I was just trying to provide some facts. You said the Fox's weren't rebuildable. I was merely correcting you.

And yes, Fox is running an Eibach spring. 600lb rate. As I mentioned a couple times earlier in the thread.

Just pointing out 5100's specs and how they compare! Also, I was saying IF they were not rebuildable there wouldn't be a lot of advantage over Toytec's! Fox obviously puts out good stuff......so there's just more options then there were before! No harm no foul buddy!

Someone needs to get these real quick and run them through their paces and report back, lol!

It is under $200 for the bilstein front 5100 and $150 for the springs. I know it does not include the top plate setup.

So for a poor man the 5100 is still a decent setup vs the entry fox.

If they could hit $600 or so I would be in but for the difference I am set on purchasing 5100 soon.

If anyone is going to offroad alot they are going to go better than entry fox pieces so they are not buying in the future again. I do not see alot of daily driver guys or sometimes weekend OR people going for the $700 price tag.

    OK

    Just ordered my new suspension

-5100's and 1/4" top plate from wheelers for $200.00 (Wheelers is awesome by the way)
-Eibach coils for $131.00 from JDM Hub

    not too bad right?
    ...I hope not

    I'm down for these.

Are they progressively or digressively damped?

These plus Dakars and a 1/4" lean spacer and I'd be set for my driving.

That's what I was thinking about doing.

    Others said adjust the preload.

    I'm not sure yet.

I can tell you for sure that with these coilovers, you will lean towards the drivers side 3/4" with a full tank of gas.

I understand that, but why then does Toytec offer the 1/4" lean-spacer? Is it for their non-adjustable coilovers?

I had to draw it out, but I agree: Adjust the preload to compensate for the 3/4" lean.

What? You are telling me my tape measure is wrong?

With these coilovers set at equal preload, the truck sits 3/4" of an inch lower on the driver side with a full tank.

This is real life experience; not what I read on the internet.

I suppose you guys are right. No lean spacer required.

    Brain did not engage fully.

Bump. Anyone else pull the trigger on these? Got a good price through my work, and Bilsteins wouldn't be much cheaper. ;)

Sure there are. They just don't post on TW. They make these for all different applications. Jeep, Chevy, etc.

What do you want to know about them?

I saw you metion that the rear was a little stiff to compensate for the crap springs in the rear. Can I have whomever i buy them from revalve them? also, I wanted to lift the rear a little. Thinking either, wait for the TSB for the 2012 or do the icon progessive AAL. On the ORW website it says the fox rears are for 0-1inch of lift. The icon AAL is 1.5 inch lift. so i cant use those foxs then? I would have to just wait for the TSB? if I lift the back with either TSB or icon AAL, I would would like to raise the front more. So that would put the front at 2.5 inch + of lift right? Im guessing I need UCA then?

It's a bit stiffer than stock, but it keeps the axle off the hard bumpstops better than stock. It's a compromise, but it's not drastically stiffer.

I've been running the Icon AAL for 3,000 miles or so. No issues. I don't think it lifted the rear 1.5". At least, not on my truck. It had 35,000 miles on it when I put the AAL on, so the stock leafs were probably fatigued which is why I didn't see 1.5". Though, I didn't measure before and after.

2.5" up front is pushing it without an aftermarket upper control arm, in my opinion. Ball-joints will be binding, and your caster will be out of spec. In fact, 2.5" up front is pushing the limits of an OE length shock.
