For Tacoma's we need to know the chassis corner weights, lift height, and spring rates.

For vehicles close to stock we can add up the accessories to figure out the weight, but for heavily modified vehicles we recommend running across some scales.

The techniques we use are great at optimizing handling while still eating up washboard and other off-road terrain. In your case we can improve handling even more, but it will start to reduce performance on washboard.

If i go with fox what is the realistic mileage
Before rebuilds , Doing moderate offroading .
I know there are alot of underlying variables in that question.

50k miles is pretty common if they're kept clean.

Go re-valve right away they come way to soft for off-roading. Had to do the second re-valve myself. Almost perfect in the front, just need a little more rebound.

Now I may go the rear to do some fine tuning.

To save a lot of time it would be nice to have a good toyota tuner set them up for you and may be good with one re-valve.

Would love to have done that, but just didn't have a lot of options where I'm at. There might have been one or two places, but accutune's reputation is bar none!!

    Accutune is top notch.
Ran the beach in NC for 16 miles today at speeds 15-30mph and the ride was stellar. First time on the beach for the Tacoma.

Speaking of spring rates, do you happen to know the approximate spring rate of a stock rear leaf pack for a 3rd gen?

I got a deal I couldn't pass up on some secondhand Fox 2.0's with CD adjuster resi, I'm gonna run them on my truck for now but once I have my final weights all figured out and I'm ready to pick up the fronts I'm definitely going to AccuTune, and I'll send in the rears to revalve.

Yeah my guy was in MI, I live in WI and they changed owners. So I Had to do the front my self. Wasn't too bad and now I know exactly what I have.

Now I have to add some rebound and the front should be set.

Good choice. Ryan proved to be very patient with my questions and offered up honest advice. His service is top notch. My ride up front seemed too stiff, called him back, got some weights on a scale and sent the shocks back. The valving was adjusted and they had them back in the mail same day they received them from me. Love the ride.

The stock springs are not at all linear, even with an AAL and overload removed. So it's hard to nail down what the spring rate is because it's always changing.
