I wouldn't crank them down a lot more, but getting a 2.5" lift out of them is perfectly fine.

So to clarify, are these Fox front coilovers NOT rebuildable? If not, what sort of life can you expect from these things before you have to buy brand new ones? If I go with the extended travel model, will setting it at the highest allowable 3" be OK or will they be more susceptible to bottoming out at that point?

I almost pulled the trigger on a Fox TRD Pro suspension this weekend but realized at the last moment that I'd rather have more lift than those would've provided and now I'm back to the drawing board.

Also, the valving is different and the springs that come on 6112's are linear. Basically, the springs perform at the same rate no matter what clip you set them on; ride quality is consistent and compressing the spring wont make the ride "More harsh". Digressive valving gives stiffness when needed over slower bumps and gulleys and then softens up as speed increases (Hence DI-gressive, as in going down). Most higher end shock makers custom valve their stuff per vehicle and lean this way for applications like Tacomas and whatnot.

IM NOT AN EXPERT, CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG, I LEARNED THIS HERE ON TW SO YELL AT THE OTHER MULTIPLE THREADS ON SUSPENSIONS :p

I went this route. LOVE THEM. Got me 2 inches in the front. Now most of the off roading I do here on the Big Island of Hawaii is very mixed. Some very rocky and slower pace roads, some very muddy, some dirt and whoops. It hasn't failed me yet. I would say for most applications, they are wonderful.

You have that backwards. 6112 is not rebuildable by anyone other than bilstein. Anyone can rebuild Fox shocks.

Fox, Icon, Kings and other higher end adjustable coilovers are rebuildable. That's one of the great reasons to buy these shocks. It depends how hard you use them. Up to 40-50k with light use.

Bilsteins are not rebuildable by anyone other than Bilstein, which might take you 3-6 months to get back. Most people just throw them away when they're done.

    ADS Racing Shocks FTW.

After owning Icon, King, Fox, Bilstein, and OME shit, the ADS coilovers are the best product I have ever put on a truck. 3

Icon is mass produced off the shelf garbage with a questionable lifespan and shitty customer service. (I've broken 2 sets while wheeling mildly)

King is legit, but you don't get the same quality as the stuff they put on their sponsor trucks.

Fox, might as well get yourself some white framed oakleys, a shit ton of tank tops, and a flat bill hat. Customer service sucks balls. Same issue as King.

    Bilstein, meh.

    OME, overpriced and stiff ride.

ADS...you get the same product that goes on their sponsor rigs, Ultra 4 rigs, and Baja rigs. Easy rebuild and customer service is top notch. When I ordered mine, they tunes them to my truck's specifics (front bumper weight, skid weight, and wheeling style). 10 days from order to delivery.

This... ^ Same reason i went with Radflo as well, them being a smaller company, good customer service, and a good product.

Is there any way to achieve this sort of ride quality with fox shocks? I know it might be overkill on a vehicle that is mostly going to be on road but should the time come when i want to off road i like to know i have quality parts.
