Hey guys I have browsed all the fox suspension feeds on tacoma world and have done my fair amount of research. But I still am pretty cursious about a new suspension.

I have a 2016 trd off-road with canopy full front runner racks and recovery gear and sliders. Also siting on stock wheels and tries which wil be replaced after the suspension.

I am pretty set on fox suspension with the heavy dakars leaf pack but can't decide on level 2/3/4. Should I get extended travel ? Overall will any of this put added stress on the truck over time. I plan on keeping this taco around for a while.

I off-road quite frequently for work so the extra clearance is going to help a lot. I have talked to Marie with headstrong and she had great answers to my questions. I'm just looking for some fellow taco lover opinions, thanks guys.

Its really just how much shock oil you want...tbh you'd probably be just fine with the level 2 but depends what kind of offroading you doing. If doing high speed woops and stuff where the oil can heat up quick you'd benefit from the 3 or 4. More oil just gives you more headroom..can go harder, faster longer before you get into shock fade.

And as far as extended travel...if you lift it over 2" you need UCA's and if you get UCA's you might as well get extended travel. But if you not going too far up with it and not getting UCA's you shouldn't get extended travel. Fwiw, they can be rebuilt to extended travel or standard travel at any time.

Awesome thanks for the info yea I don't usually go fast on the trails
Or will be hitting any whoops. Does adding suspension like this and create stress on the truck over time? Like with everything being at other than stock angle

Technically yeah but I wouldnt say its a major concern. For the most part it'll be fine as long as you dont go overboard with how high you lift it. The higher you go the more stress you put on it.2

The extended travel shocks also give you better ride quality, especially if you lift 2" or more.
