Have a set of camburg Ucas with a deaver J66 rear. Wondering what is the best full res suspension for the price? I can grab the Icon setup with remote resi for 1700 or a set of Fox for 1600. Anyone felt both, positive negative experiences, or just knowledgeable opinions are appreciated. LTB SOON. Both have a great rep but I hear Icons ride stiffer and they can't be rebuilt Vs. the Fox's????? I know lifetime warranty and all that but this is still my DD and a kid hauler.... sometimes:)LMK and thanks

Subscribed. Fox and Icon are the only companies I'm seriously considering for my lift. Interested in what people have to say about this.

    AFAIK Icons are rebuildable...

I belive the fox rear shocks are also revalvable, so for offroading you can get them dialed in perfictly.

I have the Icons in the rear and they do great but wish i could revalve them.

IIRC the rears have the lifetime warranty for easily replaced but not revalveable. How is the ride with the Fox's? Looking for something that will still feel decent on the road but wont let me down Off. Also i live in an area where i have limited quality shops so i want something i don't always have to be toying with often. Those pics of both are making me drool. JEALOUS!!!!!

Thats where i found them. throw in some rears and for a bit over 1600 with free shipping and it's a bada$$ FOX setup, but does it beat the Icon. I can get a icon non resi front and icon resi rears for less then 1400!!! With the deavers and the burgs which setup would be better for my application.....

Fox is far superior. How many trophy trucks do you see running ICONS? All I ever see is Bilstein, FOX, or KING. Id stick with them if you want something proven.

I like his point but the Icons were made specifically for the taco in mind

the icons are basically kings.. I like mine, but they are stiff. the rears I don't care for when im running an empty bed, they are bouncy, but with like 150lbs in the back its real smooth.
I would like to try the adjustable fox rears one day.
eaither way your truck will drive nice.

Thats the story i keep hearing with the rears, even with the J66 pack. I think i'm leaning to the fox's for that reason cause i still drive... A LOT. 91k on an 05. Still my DD and road trip truck. Thanks for all the info guys looking forward to hear more. I'm convinced either way I'll be happy but it sounds like the fox works better for my ap... so far.

For the casual wheeler like most of us are, I believe the Icon, Fox and Kings would be very close. It will come down to color and price. I have heard great things about all of them. I went with Kings but I did look at Icons and Fox. King rears had 2.5 shock bodies so that is what sold me. Good luck.

Which one has the best "around town" ride? I want something better than my deteriorating OEM set up and will be pulling the trigger in the next week or two. Was leaning toward ICON's just to match the fronts, but after reading about it being a little stiff, am getting second thoughts and leaning toward Fox.

Fox makes an adjustable rear shock that is distributed by All Pro. It has a setting from 1-8 I believe. jdkeller has them.

I run the Icon's both front and rear on my '05 TRD Sport dc with deaver 11 leaf pack and bilstein bumps. the ride is very acceptable for a daily driver with the bed empty.

On your 11 pack did you run one 11,or 12, and one 10 to compensate for the toyota lean? or a spacer and both 11's.
OME has the smoothest street ride out there, but if you want something to handle both On and Off i'd go with the Fox's. The Fox and the Icon are both 2.0's but with the ability to set it custom to your comfort zone and are only 189 ea at ORW vs 412 for the icon set.
The only thing that steers me away from Icon is no one denies that it's not the smoothest ride but performs great. I drive a ton and with the Burgs and Ucas i want/ need this thing to feel pretty good. All that being said my next stop sounds Like FoxBurg!!!! Population my tacoma, and growing.

I went to Demello's offroad and talked to him about added weight. the 10 leaf was set up to run with out a load, with camping gear and spare tires for a buggie we are chasing in baja for. we talked about going with 12 leaves but i didn't want to be to stiff when empty. both packs are 11 leafs, i don't even think about the lean.
