I like this awning and the setup for the price! If I didn't just get the ARQ 270 asking I would get this one for sure

The cover is just as good as any roof top tent cover. It’s just waaaaaaay too big.

I'll second this, just a bit too big. That said, it leaves room for when you need to pack it up in a hurry and don't want to try to fold it just right to make it smaller, which I've certainly appreciated. I have a couple straps around it that I made from webbing and rings, they work quite well on the highway with no flapping.

Yes I know this is an old thread. But I have a bed rack and a RTT and I want to mount this same awning up high like this. Not worried about the mounts, I’ll make some no problem. My question is about the RTT

On the passenger side, how do you prop open your window now? I’d like to still be able to hold up the rain fly on the side with the awning. The only thing I can think of is to make new “bent” poles for that side (if they’d work that way) or I could make some kind of bracket that would bolt into the channel of the awning with holes for some new poles?

That seems about right. I have yet to bend my poles, but one day I will get around to it. I don't open that window when the awning is deployed or I don't open the awning on shorter trips.

How long are the vertical poles when fully extended?
