I can’t claim to be a submariner, but I was a commercial Nuke Operator for quite some time and worked with more than my fair share. Some good guys, and incredibly bright.

 

Typically, shipping a 2m square to norcal is between $55-$65.

 

If that is the case, I can pick it up from you if possible.

 

From this photo it looks like the awning would clear the rear panel. A custom bracket could be made to raise the awning track higher if needed.

Does anyone have pictures of a 2.5 on a LB Tacoma? I want to see if I can make it fit. I could mount it to my Prinsu on the front and make a custom mount for the rear off my bed cage, but I know the bed and cab flex a little different. So I don’t want any flex to twist my Prinsu or something. Maybe I could make two mounts on the side of my bed cage and the excess could just be floating beside my roof rack. Hmmmm

EDIT: 2m will work perfect for my idea. 2.5 is just too long.

I use to have one and I can tell you that on my short bed it went to like the front of the Rear Doors. I think with a long bed, I would not even look at the 2m. I’d go straight 2.5m, but that’s me. Here’s pics of what use to be my awning on a second gen truck. New owner @EatMeImATaco

Can the poles be lowered to block the sun coming in at a low angle without screwing everything up?

 

Probably a few inches, but more than that and your putting a lot of strain on the hinges Id think. I know you can extend the poles a couple of inches taller, so Im sure the same for lowering them some
