What are these called? Are they important?

noticed my truck bought used doesn’t have them. Seen pics of other trucks on here do.

don’t know if it would interfere with skids
I think my frame has the threaded holes for them.

    16-23 supposedly they’re only on Pro’s.

I’ll have to get under and see
They come up cheap and used now and again

just thinking about it based on online pics
I don’t think the bars would work with RCI trans skid installed.

    pic here shows without

If tbe purpose is chassis stiffness, skids especially tcase skid with its “crossmember” holder likely accomplish the same thing.

Those are support bars that protect the transmisison/transfer case and support the crossmember theyre on. If theyre removed, its likely the previous owner had skid plates. Most skid plates replace those, so get a set of skids and get your underbelly protected and reinforce those crossmembers!

I believe TnShooter is right! The print showing the front suspension bracket # 51225B and suspension bracket #51226A is what I’m looking for as far as part name.
I’m the first owner of both and I don’t think it was removed. 09 Taco owners can you please check yours if they are installed? Thanks TnShooter and you all. Suspension parts? I believe they play important role for suspension of any vehicles. I’ll check the dealership or aftermarket or junkyard for pricing. I’ll keep you all posted.
