Well, I knew it was going to happen eventually..Frame on my 99 TRD OR is cracked. Sucks as it is still running good with 220k miles. Any thoughts on how much I may be able to get for it?

Based on the rust, there's plenty more that'll go IE shock mounts and whatever else we don't see.

Get the bed off, get it to a shop, and get that sucker patched and welded up.

    Mine did the same.

I welded a plate across the crack.

    Drove it for another 100k.

Prolly not "factory" safe, but it was my work truck, so I figured what the hell.

It cracked again in front of the front spring hanger at the 300k mark.

I parted it out at that time. I was happy with 300k miles and was looking forward to another truck.

    It owed me nothing.

Honestly I’ve seen worse. It’s fixable.

I have no intentions of keeping it as I have already bought a new truck. Just wondering what a reasonable price would be to ask knowing that someone will have to get it welded or whatever. Good to hear that it may be fixable.

This is close to what I was thinking. Thought about putting on marketplace for 1k obo. Any thoughts on what it may cost to get this fixed?

I'm a fabricator. So I have the tools and materials, so I'm just using my own judgement.

I popped off the tire, ground the frame steel down to clean iron. I made myself a 6" x 3" diamond plate out of some 1/8" sheet metal. I Mig welded the plate across the crack, painted it while it was hot with some leftover roof tar.

    Sounds simple. It was.

If I was doing the job for someone I did not know, I'd probably ask $300 cash and I'd make sure there was no chance they could come after me liability reasons.

If I was doing the job for a friend that I knew would not sue me later, I'd tell them a case of beer and drop what you think is appropriate in the tip jar.

I'm in western NC so there is some salt used in winter, although we don't get that much snow so not often. Guess the recall frame finally caught up to me.
