Well I'm going in for the recall frame inspection tomorrow. I really don't think there will be anything to worry about. It's a 2014 with 17,000 miles on it. Buuuuuutttttt who knows. Murphy is a bastard with his rules.

I'm in the affected area as I live in Maine and the dealership is in NH.

I hear ya. I just bought it If I had known about the issue I'd have inspected it before. But we'll see tomorrow.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
You'll be fine. I have a 135k on my '14 in MN and have no issues.

Only thing you gotta worry about is catching coronavirus at the dealer. The truck will be fine

2011-2015 frame rot is much more rare than the 05-10, they will also apply a wax inside the frame to prevent it in the future.

All went well with the inspection. Spray kit was ordered and they will call when it's ready to be done. Dealership was amazed with the low miles. :oldglory:

I'm surprised they didn't make you a trade-in offer. They're always after quality trades. Or maybe they're already overloaded with them because of the virus (no sales, leases being returned, plus repos maybe).

They make an offer every time I go in. They tell me they need 2nd gen because the 3rd gen aren’t selling as well.

Getting the frame sprayed next Thursday, i'll try and post a pic of the result. They will have it for about 4 days to dry etc. Getting a loaner. Hopefully not a "hooptie"

I just got my letter in the mail today. I am also receiving the last piece of a complete suspension upgrade via UPS tomorrow. The truck is from Vermont and crusty enough underneath, I’m not sure which direction they’ll go. On the off chance they do offer a frame replacement, does anyone know if they’ll install aftermarket stuff if you provide it?

They will at a discounted labor rate, depending if it's something that the process eases access to.
