I wanted to ask if it is a good idea to remove all the oil from my frame and put Rust-Oleum on it. Then maybe after it dries get it oil sprayed again over the Rust-Oleum to really protect it. Or should I just get it oil sprayed. Because my truck frame is one with the recall and I had to have it professionally welded

Pretty sure if it was welded the warranty would be voided but I’d read the recall paperwork. But if it’s oil sprayed is it rusted?ike to the part of all that work of cleaning prepping and re coating?

That warranty was up about 4 years ago.
Because the the specific make model and year had a recall on it.
There was four rust holes in the frame and one of them was really bad.
I took it to a welding shop luckily they were able to bend it back and weld it and the other spots really good.
He told me to keep it oil sprayed twice a year and it'll last forever but a lot of other people are telling me to get this Rust-Oleum and put on it

    Oil trump's Rust-Oleum IMO.
