    Ok, quick question.

My 06 Tacoma's frame has gotten wavy between the rivets on the rear section of the frame rails. It looks like rust formed between the two layers and is bowing them apart. The front section is fine and rust free.

I called the dealer, as I had the recall for that done, and they told me it was fine and that they were just doing the undercoat. Well I found this a couple months back and am somewhat concerned.

I called the dealer that did the recall and the service manager in charge of handling that told me the first recall only replaced the frame if it had rot holes. He then told me they were working on releasing a second frame recall for 05 to 10 Tacomas, and that I just need to be patient and wait to get a notice in the mail. Now, one of my buddies works for a Lexus dealer and told me he did hear rumors of that floating around.

My question is.....what do you guys think? should I be concerned about this, or am I making a mountain out of a mole hill? Also, did any of you hear about this supposed second frame recall?

    Thanks!

    yep..
Old post but mine looks the same, especially towards the rear near the front leaf mount. I'm wondering if they all have some degree of wavyness. Anyone else?

Wonder if they’re changing the qualifications for replacement in the second recall?
