Truck repaired by North Brunswick & Collision Southside Customs and Collision New Jersey
Just picked up my 2010 Tacoma after the frame was repaired by Southside Customs and Collision in Brunswick, NJ. The local Toyota dealership told me the frame was rusted and they could replace it for $24,000.00 (NOTE: I took it to the dealership a few years ago during the rust recall and they sprayed it with CRC to stop the rust). Southside used made-to-fit frame repair sections fabricated by SAFE-T-CAP. The repair cost me $1,300.00 (price included the frame sections). Southside also coated the frame areas with Rhino. I am a VERY SATIFIED Toyota owner

Are those the frame pieces that weld on to the existing structure? Or do they replace the original structure altogether?
I've seen the weld on ones, and it doesn't make a lot of sense to me to weld on new steel to a bunch of rusting steel.
